I still love how the Ten Tails is getting concerned about Naruto because it sees all the Tailed Beasts in him.

Sasuke becoming a Hokage was presented as a shocking revelation, but actually it makes quite a lot of sense.
1. Hashirama wanted Madara to be a Hokage as a way to heal Madara's inner damage and let him protect something after he has lost so much.
One could argue that Sasuke's inner scars run even deeper than Madara's and at that point he has even less to protect than Madara had. Everyone hold Hashirama in high regards, perhaps Sasuke saw himself in Madara's situation and agreed that Hashirama was right.
2. Sasuke was born to the family that led the Uchiha clan. When the village's attitude changed towards Uchihas, it was up to Sasuke's father to guide Uchiha's response.
Their plan was to replace village's leadership with Uchihas. Presumably making Sasuke's father the Hokage.
However, when does Leaf change Hokages? When the last Hokage dies, is unable to govern or when they step down. Sarutobi knew what was going on and did not step down, which left Uchihas only one way to replace the Hokage - by force.
For all that Tobirama's talk about running the village democratically, they did not have democratic elections. Which would also be the "peaceful" resolution to Uchiha's revolution that Sarutobi talked about, but did not do.
Having public elections would let Uchihas state their case publicly, it would offer a peaceful way to power for anyone from the village, as well as a mechanism to replace rogue or misguided Hokage.
Without that Sasuke's attitude towards his classmates is fully justified - like why would he care, or why would it matter what they think of him if they have no role in choosing the next Hokage.
