Regarding the upcoming update...
Added 2020-11-21 19:50:34 +0000 UTCHey guys! Danko and I just wanted to give you guys a quick update about our progress towards the next version of the game. On the Discord server, I talked to a few of you guys about how things were going and I wanted to formalize that information in a post like this.
Essentially, there is a lot of groundwork for the game that Danko and I have to lay out before we start really putting out exciting content. For example, the majority of the work that Danko has been doing over the past weeks was on the background art for several new locations. Some of this art is already in the game, and you may have noticed that there is a different version of each background for different times of the day. Danko is more of a character artist to begin with, so having to draw so many environments at a quality that we are happy with is taking a bit more time.
We had planned on being able to put out the next big update by the end of this month, but certain things are taking a lot longer than expected. However! Danko has recently finished the main background art for foreseeable future, and I won't be nearly as busy at my real job for the next couple of months! This means that the two of us can start working on new scenes for Raven and Star. We are now aiming for mid-to-late December to release the next update, so please look forward to it!
