Alright, so let me explain how things were before I explain how things will be. Previously, each heroine had the same six personality traits that you could develop. After finishing this last update, I've realized that there are several problems with this.
The first big problem with the old system is that having the same six traits for each character kind of forces them to be overly similar. Take "Confidence" for example. With the current system, every heroine would have to have some kind of body-image issue to explain why they weren't confident in their own attractiveness. That really doesn't make sense for some of the characters though, namely Starfire, whose costumes have always been incredibly revealing.
The second big problem was that trying to keep track of six different changing personality traits on a single character made it super hard for me to nail down who exactly Raven was supposed to be. You may have noticed while playing the last update that Raven's personality changed a little too much from scene-to-scene.
In essence, the old system was making it impossible to create characters that feel unique or have well-developed personalities.
So now let's talk about the new system. Instead of having six traits that every heroine shares, each heroine will now have three traits that are completely unique to them. This way, we can make the girls feel unique in terms of personality as well as """content""". Each personality trait will have its own dedicated h-scene, but leveling up a trait will unlock stuff in other scenes as well.
The new system also splits each heroine's storyline into two halves, the first three levels and the last two. This way, you can level up a personality trait three times without having to worry about the heroine's other traits. However, keep in mind that you will need at least two of the heroine's traits to have reached level three, or Rank B, in order to progress the story past a certain point.
This "certain point" is when you will unlock that heroine's villain counterpart. What this means though is that we'll have to finish the first half of all three of Raven or Starfire's traits in order to start working on their villain counterparts. So, for example, we will need to finish all three of Raven's traits before we can get started on Jinx.
Which brings us to the polls. It is time for us to decide what to work on next. Each poll option represents a different trait for either Raven or Starfire. Pick which one you want to see most, and keep in mind that each finished trait brings us one step closer to one of the villains. Full-Body supporters, keep in mind that your vote will count twice as much!
That's all, guys. The polls will stay open until next Friday, 1/15. We can't wait to see what you guys pick!
