Chat-Shire! My favorite IU album, I think. Some of the songs can be challenging to translate (e.g. Twenty-three) so I tried to pick translations that I liked. The first song Shoes is not especially popular, but I really love it - something about the sounds of the words. The song is basically saying "IU's back, get hyped, let's go!". Sorry about how shaky the first Shoes fancam is though. The interpretation of Zeze's lyrics was actually a big controversy at the time. I think IU's later songs Palette (2017) and Holssi (2024) are a bit of a response to or reflection of Twenty-three. Also, there are a few different variations of the Twenty-three choreo. In one of the lives for The Shower you might have noticed IU lose track of where she is in the song and sing the wrong part. The updated part of the song in later performances of Red Queen is understood to be in memoriam of f(x) Sulli. The song is associated with a portrait that Sulli drew and IU borrowed from her.
