About the update...

Okay, The new LBA update is now published. The first thing I should do now is apologize to the Patreons who supported us because I feel that this update does not repay the support you gave us at all. It’s true, I have to acknowledge that this update is a disaster for the time it took me to make it.

If I had to find a reason why it took me so long to update this, I have three reasons, two of which seem like cheap excuses, so I'll start with the most important one.

The format. The idea of trying to mimic the Persona series using 2D sprites with 3D background images seemed like a good idea until I had to carry it out. I won't say that I spent all day working on this update, but I also wasn’t lazy. Every day I must have dedicated five solid hours to creating images in Koikatsu to transfer them to the scripts, and sometimes it felt like the progress was insignificant.

Of course, it's not all the format’s fault. Maybe I didn’t put in enough effort and should have dedicated more hours to the game, but on the other hand, I also know that those hours I spent working on this update could have produced triple or quintuple the content if I had simply used a different format. If you’re on Discord, you already know what I’m talking about, but I want to mention it here as well: my current intention is to change the format of the game.

This decision is not only to make the game a bit more aesthetically pleasing (because personally, I feel it looks better), but mainly to fix the issue that makes this update a failure today. Aside from what I’ve mentioned, a project that updates every 5 months is unsustainable.

Once again, my team and I regret not being able to turn those months of work into an update worthy of your expectations. Frankly, what we’re releasing today isn’t even half of what I wanted it to be, but between taking more time and delaying the format change, I’d rather hit pause right now, release this update, and start working on a new structure that will allow me to update LBA much more consistently.

With nothing more to say, from now on, I’ll try to be a bit more active on Patreon to show the progress we’re making and to demonstrate that my team and I are committed to moving this project forward.
