In Ontierra, The Queen, Princess and Empress is always the regnant while the King, Prince and Emperor are consorts by proclamation of Rianse the first Queen Regnant
As such, Ontierra's people always look up to the Queen primarily
If a Queen were to perish, the Princess would take the throne or the Duke and Duchess, which consists of the Prince and an Empress would instead depending on circumstances
A King or Prince can NEVER take the throne by himself.
If for some reason the royal family cannot ascend a female, an Empress chosen by the late Queen in her written will shall ascend and a new dynasty will begin
