So Aurora created this sheer wrap thing which I thought was amazing. I liked the way it revealed various parts so it seemed obvious to shoot it. I chose the trusty Fluro makeup lamp for lighting to give a high-key contemporary look. It worked well even though there was some light fall off at the edges, ideally, a bigger light would be best. I started off using a 50mm but ended up with a 16-35mm zoom as it portrays body parts better at close range.
The angles shown and the positioning of the fabric were a joint effort but Aurora’s posing was great, as it obviously required something quite different from the usual boring confined model poses. I’ve always loved shooting body crops and will continue to work on this aspect whenever I can.
