Complex 13 - dev. build 35

Kushan jump in, other races improve, it's a massive update that token a lot of time, from this build until the public release we'll start again to make the builds available every 1-2 weeks, continuing to add ships, maps and features.

-now you can switch between colored or black/white unit icons
-Power Cell implemented for the Vaygr
-now the Complex UI is no more affected by the HWRM UI scale, less glitches and typo imperfections
-ships energy system has been fully reworked, no more based on ship fire, more logic and intuitive, UI improved
-fixed several bugs for the Hiigaran Battleship, now it can rearm/retire slots properly
-Nuclear Reactor implemented for the Kushan
-Nuclear Reactor implemented for the Turanic Raiders
-Kushan Twister Missile (full implementation)
-Drone attack, the Kushan Mothership can launch an attack of 100 drones as special attack

It's a really good idea, I think we can use is for the explosions of nukes and juggernauts

would like to share some ideas regarding this build, what if we had an option that makes all Capital / Super Capital ship class generate a radiation field(not permanent) after they boom/die.. makes the battlefield more realistic IMO.

Ah. I've always been the sort of player who stays the hell away from enemies until I have research complete. That might be my issue. And yeah, I do always build all the combat/defensive Towers on my Mothership ASAP, so that shouldn't be a problem. I just wish there was a concise tutorial video (series) that explained all this.

The fastest way to gain rank is to just kill enemy ships (If you click on your rank score at the top of the screen you can see everything that counts towards it) and in my experience, it rarely takes more than 15 minutes and 1-2 successful skirmishes to reach a high enough rank to build corvettes, depending on game settings. Also keep in mind that most of your research is only unlocked once you've built certain modules (ex. build a fire control tower to unlock weapon upgrades), which you'll really need if you want the best chance of winning a skirmish. As for a tutorial, the HW2 version of complex had a help section thing that explained most of the mechanics, but I don't know if something similar will exist for the remastered version.

Is there any chance anyone can make a full tutorial series on the basics of Complex? I tried playing a 2v2 mirror match with easy AI as enemy and my teammate, and it had half of all tech before I even had corvettes! I tracked down the issue, and figured out that it was caused by me not getting Rank/Honor points fast enough and being stuck a low Rank. Problem was, I couldn't work out how the AI gains Rank so fast, since I churned out all available resources and production, and even engaged the enemy in a fighter skirmish before my AI teammate did. I'm now utterly baffled at how to gain Rank correctly.
