"Lydia. Let's look in the book," Trixia proposed.
"You know Mom and Dad say no."
"I know. We're too young," said in a mocking tone.
"But we could get into trouble."
"We won't," came the immediate reply. "Besides, I've got the book here."
"Trixia! We'll get in ever so much trouble. Take it back."
"Don't be such an old horse."
Lydia didn't get a chance to reply. The book began to glow with the eerie blue of a magic spell starting. Trixia did what every child her age would do. She dropped the book. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to stop the spell. The magic continued to build until it enveloped Lydia. Within minutes, she grew larger in height and found herself with a colt's body instead of her own legs and hips.
When the blue cow of the magic finally faded, Lydia discovered she was now a centaur foal.
"Uh - Do you think Mom will noticed?" asked Trixia.
