Blender

Hi folks,

for quite some time I have been using DAZ studio now, as it has some awesome features like character creation, a giant store of assets to buy from, flat learning curve, easy to learn and fast to get some results. But also DAZ has quite a lot of limitations for what I am doing, namely: a very slow, but beautiful rendering engine (Nvidia IRAY), limitations in simulations for volumetric physics, limitations in rigging, mesh manipulation and animation. Just to give a quick example of how limiting DAZ can be, I will upload a few pictures of my workflow of creating some movement on the skin (squirming).

Because of the above reasons I will put a significant amount of my time in figuring out Blender, its features and how to transfer assets from DAZ over to Blender. Blender is a famous 3D editing software and excels at those disciplines I mentioned.

I don't know how long it will take me to finally have some interesting results or if I will be able to achieve them at all, but I thought it would just be fair to let you know of this decision. I will let you know about my progress.

Thanks all for supporting me and stay healthy and safe!

This site has a bunch of courses in regard to learning blender. I have ordered and have been doing ones for learning blender in regard to creating models for 3D printing. They are very good for giving you the basics on how to use blender and all it's features. There are also advanced courses you can do as well. https://www.udemy.com/topic/3d-modeling/
