I feel like if the point is to make a short and pithy explanation, I'd be better off with a scripted format. So, that part of me screams to just throw away footage like this. But then, maybe somebody still finds it useful and perhaps it won't tarnish my reputation too much because what do I have to lose 😅

I might be biased but I think that was a great explanation! You edited the segments together very seamlessly to create a good summary of what an FPGA is and how it differs from microcontrollers. It is a complicated concept to explain in a concise way, I think you nailed it! :)
