I am so with you! They hopefully will just learn what makes the other tick more and be able to navigate their relationship so much better now going forward! Fingers crossed anyway, because I know more things are going to come between them *insert sobbing face*. That is, if they do things from the book and everything anyway! I was wondering when Jes was the only one who had a nice hallucination as well when everyone else was quite literally going through it! I have not seen the deleted scene! I think there's two right? One with Wylan and Jesper and one with Jesper and Inej? I'm planning on making a video once I'm done with this season reacting to those, tier ranking the characters, and just overall thoughts on the season and answering/talking about any questions anyone has for me regarding it, so that is absolutely coming! I so feel this! I have been watching other people's reactions as I upload an episode and so many people disregard not only him, but this scene especially and it makes me so sad. I'm not sure if you've seen Sex Education or not, but in the third season one of the characters goes on a journey figuring out how to express himself properly and finds that if he turns his back to people, it is easier for him to talk bc he's not looking at the person, and this scene with Wylan really reminded me of that. He's able to talk so freely about his feelings, while maybe sassing a little bit, but ultimately WANTING Jesper to hear him and thinking that he is hearing him until he finds out that they are in trouble and saves them in literal MINUTES bc of how much of a genius is! Big slay. Tolya is literally us! Kaz legit handpicked the relationship and then was like 'what is going on? how is this happening?' like CMON. This is all YOU! The crows honestly add years to my life every time they are on screen so I feel you SO hard. lmao

2023-04-19 02:57:02 +0000 UTCStarting off with your quick recap, because for all i've thought about Jesper & Wylan's not-quite-argument it didn't occur to me until now that like.. yeah, Wylan doesn't know what Jesper has been through, he doesn't know what being a Durast has cost Jesper, and he shouldn't have pushed - buuuut Jesper doesn't know what Wylan has been through, he doesn't know what being illiterate has cost Wylan, and he shouldn't have pushed. They were both trying to show support in their own weird way, but they were both really bad at it - Jesper coming off patronizing and Wylan coming off almost mad. The whole thing really doesn't get talked through or cleared up but i'm glad it didn't last more than an episode. I much prefer our boys together and smooching enough that Kaz becomes the Live Slug Reaction. Moving on to the post-episode thoughts (shutting up?? in THIS economy??) I loved that Jesper got to talk to his mom, and that she said things he really needed to hear, but I do wonder why he was the only one who had a positive hallucination. Was it somehow because he's a Durast too?? Why did the others have Suffering Time but Jesper got a reunion that made me wanna cry (there was a lot in this episode that made me wanna cry, not even gonna lie lsdfs) Speaking of Jesper's skills: have you seen the deleted Wesper scene?? If not you should react when you get that far, if you have I totally need your thought on it THANK YOU for appreciating the butterfly scene; where Wylan is alone and talking about them. Not enough people appreciate it for the 1. sweet little scene it is 2. the wesper emotions it holds 3. or the display of Wylan's absolute brilliance that it is. It usually gets laughed at cuz the others are in trouble at the time. Which, tbh, I think makes it almost sad. Like Wylan clearly wanted Jesper to hear what he was saying, he was being vulnerable and honest (even if it was in a weird.. metaphor??) and it was missed. Tolya is THE number one Wesper shipper in-universe and we're here for it!! Kaz really played matchmaker and then was mad that it worked sdhfdfs Like my dude, my guy, this is YOUR fault (not that they wouldn't have eventually gotten together on their own, they might have, but Kaz had them falling in love in under five business days. like two business days. he speedran that. he's not allowed to be mad lol) My faves also have not changed.
