I am SO with you on literally everything you said! Pekka is the WORST. And he stays being the worst, always. I love Zoya, but she annoyed me SO much in this episode. Like girl, why do you feel you have ANY say whatsoever in anything Nina does? Make it make sense? It's not like you guys are friends and she certainly NEVER asked for your opinion? Just because you hate the idea of happiness for yourself right now doesn't mean no one else is allowed to find it. Omg Wylan and Jesper waking up together put me in shambles. My brain was not computing and I think I malfunctioned internally. My favorite part of their interactions will always be Jesper saying something flirtatious or adorable and Wylan shyly hiding his happiness. Nothing will ever top it. Like in episode 4 when Jesper says 'I'd like to find out' and Wylan turns his head to smile. I melt, I weep, I crumble. I wish it was longer too, but then again, Wesper could be the entire episode or show and that would make me be the happiest person on the planet, lmao. I agree 10000%- that whole interaction and plot line through the episode is so real, the whole fighting but not fighting. They both are so valid in everything that they are saying and feeling which makes it so realistic. I hate when there's what feels like unnecessary fighting in a show for the *drama* so I am SO happy with how this particular part was handled as it is such a large part of Wylan's character and backstory in the books and relates a lot to his relationship with his father and why it's so bad. I loved it. Jesper really does stay slaying in anything and everything he decides to put on. The kilt adds SO much, it's amazing! 1000/10 would recommend!

I've seen people say Kaz is dramatic but next to Mr. Shadow I think he's pretty chill, all things considered. Zoya was horrible this episode imo - between the way she talked to Nina, no matter what Nina said, the unsolicited and rude advice, and then acting like she's above everyone that's there to do literally the same thing she is (get the sword to help save the world) Like girl sit down. Hands down my favorite part of the episode was Wylan and Jesper waking up together!! Jesper complimenting Wylan and Wylan hiding behind his curled up hands like a kitten over it until Jesper tilts his chin up and kisses him, and then ten seconds later they're like "breakfast?? only if you're the food, baby" - it's a fanfic before my eyes and I am obsessed. I wish that scene had been longer. The bit where Jesper finds out Wylan can't read and then when Wylan confronts Jesper about being grisha are two other parts that - as much as they hurt my heart, i love them. I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort and angst (when there's a happy ending, and thankfully we end up with one eventually) Also they're important. It gets across information, and adds depth to the characters, and shows that they aren't just adorable and in love - they're real people with secrets and struggles and they're still getting to know each other. The fights-that-arent-fights are a realistic touch for a fantasy show. Oh and final favorite bit of the episode:: Jesper's kilt. Man has fashion all day long but his current outfit is everything to my gay little heart
