I love them so much..Alec was so handsome and Magnus was so beautiful with his red highlights and smoky eyes. The best relationship on the show and the most balanced couple.. can't wait for you to start the next season.. everything is going to be so much better: the production, the plot, screenplay❤

2023-05-30 21:08:28 +0000 UTCFor them not being the main characters I do honestly think that they overshadowed Jace and Clary at times (and even their personal storyline sometimes beat the whole show's storyline). For all my love for Malec and gratitude that we got what we got I must admit that they did get A LOT of space. Not saying that I wouldn't love a Malec spin-off ;)

2023-05-30 18:34:44 +0000 UTCAbout the title - I saw an interview (yes,your recent poll on YT made me do it) that was done before this was aired and they asked Mathew Daddario (Alec) what we could expect since it's called Malec. And I will quote this wonderfully weird man: "Names can be deceiving, right? Like, we call our shoes sneakers but they aren't really sneaking. So I'm just saying that calling something Malec doesn't necessarily mean that it is... what it is."

Let's be honest, the pacing and the storytelling is up and down, most of the characters are more smackable than kissable, a lot of the decisions being made... my brain just doesn't compute. BUT. It's because of this unpredictability that I enjoy it. Not knowing where they are headed and that anything can pass in this show... it's kind of refreshing. I mean the "main couple" that we all knew that is meant to be THE couple ever since the first episode just got proclaimed as siblings. And immediately after that we got an episode named after a secondary ship. WHO DOES THAT?! :D When I saw this episode the first time it all came to me from left field, because I didn't read the name of the episode. And honestly I didn't believe that they would give a gay couple so much space. But all is good, I was grinning like a lunatic the whole time. Although like you said, the music played a big role in my enjoyment. And the fact that noone was hurting since Lydia was ok with it. And Simon's Graduate commentary! I love him :)
