There is no way this man is done- I don't believe it for a second. Also, Magnus is being so cold this episode 🤣 I get it you're mad, but at the same time, you broke up with Alec, chill out. Also, this Seelie Queen needs to be done, I'm over her.
You're very close to why she wants Simon) one part of it is the rare thing , I don't remember if she mentioned it already(she briefly does in one of the eps) that she is a "champion " of everything that is unique .. but there is another reason why she wants Simon.. you'll find out in the beginning of S3

I absolutely see this side of it for sure, but I really do think it would be worse to tell your new boyfriend this information, that you weren't even technically supposed to know yourself, and then basically demand that he NOT tell all of the people who depend on him. like I really feel like Alec would've told him when he had a little more information on the situation and was more so waiting for that as opposed to just not telling him.
I'm happy to hear with season 3 that the choices get better, but now I'm terrified! WHY DEPRESSING 😭

you're so right, at least she pulled the downward together for a common enemy! exactly, it would be so easy for him to end Valentine, like just do it dude PLEASE! 🩶

yeah Magnus' actions were a bit questionable/comical in this ep for sure!
I know she wants him because he's a daylighter, I'm more confused on what she wants *with* him, like why does she need him so bad? just bc it's a rare thing?

I LOVE SASSY ALEC. I want more of him always 🤣 and I agree, Magnus being cold was so funny like you said because he was the dumper, not the dumpee!? it just seems a little backwards. like this is Alec's first relationship and he's being more mature about the situation than a 400 something year old? regardless of whether your trust or feelings were hurt? funny for sure!
I agree with you here as well with the quickness of Jonathan and Valentine- and also, like this man wants to destroy anything with demon blood.... aka you, my guy? what is going through your brain?
the queen is the worst. 🩶

I agree with Magnus here 100%. Alec choose to listen to his father and not tell Magnus the truth when Magnus has been honest with him the entire time they’ve known each other.
If you read the book Magnus has severe trust issues already because of his past relationships who lied and cheated on him(read the books for more info. Mostly the Bane chronicles If I remember correctly). Camille lied and cheated on him several times which is why he closed off his emotions for 100 years. So he has every right to want the truth from his boyfriend who he put all his trust into and told personal things to. I’d probably be more mad if I were him. Especially since not telling him about the sword was putting Magnus and his people in more danger.
Alec however doesn’t always make the best decisions when it comes to Magnus and his choices are alittle on the selfish side. I am kind of letting it slide alittle because Alec never had a relationship before Magnus. But I think after this fight Alec’s choices when it comes to Magnus are alot better(even though season 3 is going to be depressing for Malec).

Sarah Hyland was dating Dom (Jace) for a while at the time so she was friends with the cast and all. They had actually met in another movie called Vampire Academy which is also a book adaptation

So Alec chose his responsibilities over Magnus and kept important secrets from him, Magnus in turn chose his responsibilities over his personal relationship and broke up with Alec, teamed up with the detestable seelie queen... and she now teamed up with Valentine :D If I were Magnus I would now have trust issues. And even though I kind of hate the queen, if she didn't side with Valentine we have to admit that she did force the downworlders to finally start hunting for Valentine and getting some results. The Clave was just standing still, being undecisive and, as we saw now, even traitorous.
Also, I kind of wished with how much more unstable Jonathan was becoming that he would finally snap and just kill Valentine. But no, he just let him be the abusive and manipulative father to the bitter end.

This is the only ep in the whole show that I'm disappointed in Magnus.. his attitude was so out of his character I was having a hard time to connect or understand him. So I'm not going to fix ot that lapse and instead look fwd to the next ep. **why do you think the Queen is so interested in Simon? ** here is a hint for you: what makes Simon so special?

This episode didn't do the most for me.
Both of those Jace and Clary moment's were kinda cute, I will admit. I was no at all behind their relationship in season 1, and then obviously in the first half of season 2 I was like 'ew'. Then it was confusing when they weren't siblings again but she was with Simon- I'm not exactly behind it now but I can see how someone would be.
I kinda like that we got to see Sassy Alec again, it was such a big part of him in season 1 that has been toned down a bit in season 2 as his character developed.
That talk with the downworld council was definitely awkward on all sides- there is no better word for it than that.
I am also Alec biased, but Magnus's coldness and bitterness was a little funny to me as he was the one who broke it off before they had some more decent time to talk. Magnus is my number two , I love him so much but his choice to side with the seelie queen didn't completely seem in character to me, even if he was upset I feel like he was letting petty emotions get the better of him, when he's at least 400+ years old and very wise- It could just be my opinion on that though.
I also don't know if I liked how easily Valentine manipulated Jonathan. Like Jonathan had this hate for him, for so many years- and yet a simple few good talks and everything is fine between them? He's convinced his father is on his side and won't abandon him again? Seems a bit quick to me but then again there's a few storylines in season 2 that I find a bit rushed. I still very much enjoy it and the finale is a great one!
Yeah, I like the actor of the Seelie queen, but the seelie queen herself as a character was written off for me the second we met her, her attitude and the quickness in which she switches sides is pretty annoying, even if she's just thinking about which way her people would survive the most.
I'll end my tangent here and see you at the season 2 finale, have a good filming session.
