Shadowhunters 2x20 REACTION; what did he agree to!?

Also, Jonathon and his ?mother? have me terrified and stressed going into season 3! Lastly, Alec with his bow and arrow.... it never gets old, does it?

I really enjoyed Clary in this episode as well!!! Thank goodness there is only one wish, that could be so bad if not 🤣 I thought that was hilarious myself. We see Alec shoot crazy shots, like he could have reloaded and gotten that instead of running away and having Magnus have to take care of it 🤣🤣🩶

The love for Alec is absolute :D Even though I sometimes feel like anything not Malec is just a filler (yes, I'm one of those), the MVP of this episode for me was definitely Clary. Not only did she slit Valentine's throat, she then stabbed him. And again and again. I was like whoa! Go girl! Her wish to bring back Jace was understandable but ultimately a selfish one (yes, there was only one, otherwise I imagine there would be a queue of shadowhunters, all of them wanting their wish granted). The fight with the demon on the beach was funny to me. Alec was supposed to cover Magnus, then he missed the demon (and not for the first time, he should train more) and Magnus had to save him AND close the rift.

That scene got me, but I cried AGAIN while editing this video which is wild and doesn't usually happen to me lol they did so so good! also yes, I'm warming to Jace more and more even though he isn't one of my favorites, I don't dread him being on screen which is good and I love seeing Jace and Alec exist together, mostly fighting, and the impact of their bond as well! it was so satisfying that clary ended Valentine, I love that for her! and I'm terrified for what's to come with Malec, I don't even want to think about it. I want to live in this naive bliss forever! I'm absolutely going to be reacting to the bloopers! Hopefully I can get that up tomorrow as well as a little bonus video! 🩶

I was very satisfied with the way this ended as well! I love the wrapping up and also the setting up new issues for sure! I will totally be reacting to the bloopers!! 🩶

Though it’s not totally explained in this episode, the demons did multiply for a purpose just not for as a huge attack as they were predicting!

2023-06-23 22:40:39 +0000 UTCYess I love this finale! Kat KILLED it this episode! The whole jace dying scene + her fight with valentine she really was great. Also Dom (Jace) improvised the “i love you” in his dying scene🥹 Finally malec back together! I feel like it was def inevitable that they would wrap it up by the end of the season, and can’t wait for you to see them in season 3! You got to see Catarina this episode (the warlock with Madzie! Other than Ragnor Fell, who we saw die last season, Catarina is another one of Magnus’ closest friends and there is definitely a bit more of her as a side character in S3! I think this season does well with wrapping up everything in a positive way while leaving the little inklings of what’s to come next season: repercussions of Clary bringing Jace back, Sebastian calling for his mother and the mysterious woman in the ending! I hope you react to the Season 2 bloopers on YouTube as well if you have the time! Can’t wait for season 3!!

Guess I'll just start to list things off, first thing I wanna talk about is Clary and Alec's reactions to Jace's death- those both made me actually tear up. I did not cry when I first watched this episode but I was close because these character I had grown to love where suffering. I will admit in my first watch through, I didn't care much for Jace. I didn't know if it was the actor or just the character in general. Doing rewatches with reactors I find things that I didn't see before and have actually started to enjoy his character. Him dying had totally caught me off guard- of course he comes back but still. His and clary's reunion was adorable as was his hug with Alec. Their parabatai bond is one of my favorite things about this show. Secondly, Valentine is finally gone- While he was a great villain I didn't see him making it to the next season. If he did I feel like they wouldn't had been able to develop the story much farther than trying to recapture and kill Valentine. So his death was extremally satisfying, especially since it was clary who got to make the final blows. Next- Malec in this episode, my baby's are finally okay again! Can they now have some peace before shit hits the fan again? I don't know because the writers seem to have it out for them. I'm glad that they didn't fully drag out their breakup. I think most fans knew them staying apart wouldn't last, but they didn't know if the show writers were going to forcing it into season 3A. Jonathan calling for his mother before dying in this episode was defiantly something. I did find it a little disappointing that nothing really happened with the demons that were apparently multiplying and getting ready to stage an attack, especially because they seemed to be building that up. All in all I really enjoyed this finally and can not wait for your season 3 reactions. Are you going to watch the bloopers for this season?
