I think this is the most and hardest I have laughed at an episode yet which I'm not sure if others find this episode funny or not? whatevs not the point- I LOVED it. that's the point.
I'm so sorry, Alec and the shampoo? that was enough for me, I knew it was about to be over for me. I love them so so much. and Simon!? is this man being protected by his brand from the Seelie Queen? I NEED ANSWERS!?

Haha, don't worry, I did read the blurb for the second book so I knew in general terms what was going to happen. But maybe the others don't. So for anyone reading this - in the books Jocelyn didn't die and on the show Alec tore her heart out. Those two are totally different stories. So it's quite possible that on the show Malec will die a horrible death (and us along with them).

I thought you've already read about it..(( I'll edit that part...as for the books and main series I had so many issues with them, I won't even start.. The Eldest Curses trilogy (tho 3rd book isn't out yet) is way better.. maybe bcs it's about Malec or maybe bcs she co-written it with another author W. Chu😂.. imo the second one isn't worse but I liked the first one a little bit more bcs its main focus was on Malec, while in the second one it's Malec +others 😁

2023-06-28 19:40:25 +0000 UTCBeware of spoilers ;) Sigh, you were supposed to dissuade me from reading it! :D The biggest issue for me was always the writing style... and the fact that a bunch of teenagers just runs of to fight dozens of dangerous people without telling anyone and think that it's a good idea. No wonder that shadowhunters are a dying breed. But I do have to admit that some scenes were really well written (so she CAN do it, why isn't the whole book like that?). Would you say that the second book is better, worse or similar to the first one?

2023-06-28 18:32:06 +0000 UTCActually I've reread the 1st one and read the second just recently 😅 as I'm in my Malec era ..again.. and in a deep reading slump I hoped it would help.. and tho writing style wasn't my favorite, overall it was much better than other books and I enjoyed all the Malec moments together very much..having vacation and simultaneously solving problems was great..

2023-06-28 18:00:02 +0000 UTCActually, I was so devastated when the show ended that I went and read the first Malec book :D It wasn't awful but it wasn't the right Malec (mine Malec) so I'm afraid that I wouldn't enjoy it as much with different actors. Who knows, maybe after finishing these reactions I'll be compelled to read the second book (talk about being desperate). Oh god, I think I totally would do that :D

I laughed a lot, I smiled a lot, noone died (well, a lot of people, actually, but you know what I mean), Malec was fabulous and even Lorenzo provided funny moments. Sigh, guys, I just want a Malec show. Go on a vacation, solve crimes or something. Just be happy and we'll be happy by proxy.

Alec going undercover, but also still being his awkward self was amazing- Magnus and his dolphin couch dive took me out when I first watched this, I still crack up at it XD Can I also mention how adorable Alec is with Madzie? Magnus giving Alec a dirty look after, 'I did it' was also funny as hell to me. This in general was just a really good episode for malec that when I look back I don't remember much of what the other storylines in this episode were. Guess I'm gonna have to rewatch with you and find out!
