I promise you don't 🤣 this is so so interesting to me that they made her character do like a 180! that's really sad, but I guess they just needed someone to give the sentencing 🤷🏻♀️ right right, I figured she wasn't the first to be deruned, but I mean she was like the first one we've seen in the show get deruned after hearing about it when izzy was potentially going to get deruned! dom honestly killed it this episode, he was getting to me with his begging, I can't! ooooh I'll have to look that song up and give it a listen! 🩶

I will say now that during the finale, one thing you will have to do is sing "this is the hunt" as obnoxiously as possible when the intro comes on. Everyone who has seen this show has done it at least once. I don't know why, but every person I have seen this show with has at some point or another sung the intro in same key for no reason xD. One thing that I don't like about this show is Jia. Jia Penhallow in the books is one of the nicest characters in the books. She understands what she needs to do to take care of all Shadowhunters, she genuinely cared about Clary and her group, and she would go out of her way to make sure her daughter was okay. When, in the books, Aline started dating someone the clave looked down on, Jia did everything to defend both of them. She would never even CONSIDER doing most of the things she does in the show. In the midst of all the corruption, she was the only beacon of light, and she was never mad at Clary for using the wish. It breaks my heart what they did to her character. Also you talk about deruning, Maryse is not the first deruned shadowhunter. Deruning is what happens as a sever punishment, or if a shadowhunter wants to marry a mundane, and the mundane does not want to become a shadowhunter. Edmund Herondale, Will Herondale's father, actually left shadowhunting to marry Linett Owens, a Welsh Mundane. Will and Cecily, their two surviving children, rejoined the Shadowhunters during the events of TID. Also I believe that the fact that Maryse sung to her kids in French is a fact from the books as well! Jordan also mentioned the Shanti Mantra tattoo, which he actually got in hopes of brining peace to himself, after what he did to Maia. DOM'S ACTING IN THIS EPISODE OMG. I was SOBBING. This is by far one of the saddest episodes and omg it hurts. The song that plays in the background when Maia leaves and Alec realizes they can't do anything more for Jace is called Hearts by Jessie Ware, and it is incredible.

2023-07-06 17:25:35 +0000 UTCLMAO okay when you put it like that..... tbf though, I feel like everything that happens to Alec is always not something that is even his fault, he's just self-sacrificing to fix shit and that does nothing but stress me out lmao like yes, what Jace is going through right now isn't his fault, but what clary is going through kind of is her fault. also, I don't quite know what it is about my brain that just views everything as fine unless Alec may be in danger. that might just be a problem for my brain to work out 🤣 I'm so with you here, however, I feel like it may have hurt Alec more than it would have hurt Magnus, as Magnus himself kind of said it, I feel like that was more of a slap to Alec and then Jace saying 'you may share your bed with him, but he'd choose me' was more of a slap to Magnus. overall though, I love Alec and I just want him to be okay 🩶 I'm so with you on this, like I get her feelings are valid and seeing him is probably stirring up old memories/feelings, but you also didn't allow him to leave because of Simon but now that he's apologizing and trying to change his previous behavior, you're confused and leaving Simon? without saying anything? you literally only said something because Simon was right there and that hurts my heart for Simon, he's nothing but a freaking KING! 🩶

You're back! 🤣 I couldn't agree more, I was so impressed by Dom this episode whereas he is one that I usually find to be fine but I haven't gotten to really see him do anything super difficult like in 2x3! He killed this episode and was giving me chills! Right!? Like why is Alec always like, ok, send me in. LIKE WHAT NO PLEASE GOD NO lmao. as for izzy, I think her saying the 'three go in, three come out' is what sent my tears falling, that hit me like a train lol. I loved seeing them as children too! We literally got nowhere in this episode other than learning a bit more about Simon's forehead 🤣

2023-07-06 06:52:22 +0000 UTCI find it so fascinating and funny how the Alec love works - Clary is sentenced to death, Jace is being tortured and then taken again by Lilith, Izzy is going through exactly the same thing as Alec... but no, everything always happens to Alec :D I'm glad (well, glad is probably the wrong word) that Jace used the "your latest soldier boyfriend" taunt on Magnus. Because there were multiple occasions where Alec was compared to some of Magnus' previous lovers and I always found it so... uncomfortable. Once by Camille in the first season where she told Magnus that he clearly had his type (poor Alec had to listen to it), then again by Magnus himself recently when he was talking to Alec about the photograph and he said something along the lines "brave soldier, like someone else I know" to Alec. I remember being so confused - is it something you would say to your jealous boyfriend? And the whole Maya triangle... I understand she needs to clear her head and needs her space but didn't she almost tear Jordan's head off when he said he wanted to leave Simon so someone else could take over? It seemed to me that she would leave now without saying anything if Simon didn't happen to intercept her on her way out. I understand that she's confused but girl, that's a love problem (and old one), we have a queen of hell going rampart right now, Clary is being held by Clave and you decide to ditch Simon now? Priorities, please. Sigh, I guess I have never been a fan of her and I'll never be. Poor Simon, he's always the second best option.

If you remember Magnus also did the same with his "sloppy lair"😂 in S1.

2023-07-06 06:04:24 +0000 UTCI broke my string of messages by not making a reply for the last few episodes. I just got so busy ;-;. So much has happened so I'll just talk about this episode. Starting with Dom's acting!! He was so good in this episode and I'll admit that I was one of the ones who thought he was one of the weaker actors when I first watched this. He proved me so wrong in this ep, he did even better than in 2x3 which I also found phenomenal. Alec and his self sacrificing tendencies show themselves once again as he volunteers almost immediately to do something to save Jace. I understand he is a part of him but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Izzy was also great in this episode. I really liked getting to see how close the three siblings were even as children, and then her bringing up the 'three go in, three come out' to get Jace to take her and Alec's hand. But it was all for not because Jace got taken back again, poor man also needs a rest honestly. I need there to be a beach episode soon where it's just all sunshine and rainbows, could we get that please? Overall an amazing episode.
