Added 2023-07-08 02:54:15 +0000 UTCthe amount of pain and stress this episode caused me.... is unmatched. it's ALWAYS ALEC, MY LOVE. and magnus has no more magic, get outta here. all I can honestly think about is whether Alec is okay or not and I'm so glad that Simon took Lilith out like the king he is.... Alec is totally fine though.... right?

That also explains the bone color of the Silent Brothers' robes. If you recall the next morning pillow talk scene with Magnus and Alec, you will notice the bedding is gold. Does that make them spiritually married 🤔 😉

Luckily the Shadowfam is amazing and kept the fires burning with their awesome fanvids and fanfic. Some of the best and most creative out there. If Lorenzo helped Magnus as he was supposed to do as High Warlock, Magnus would not have had to sacrifice his magic to Asmodeus. So Lorenzo will forever be on my sh*tlist. My poor Simon. Not only was he forced to make his mother believe he died but he ended the episode thinking that he killed Clary. Alec will be fine! Alec will be fine! Alec will be fine! Alec will be fine! Ugh, this show is responsible for the constant depletion of my stash of stress Chocolate 🍫

I'm with you there, I get she was terrified, but I think if he and Becky had sat down with her once Becky was home, maybe they could've talked and worked something out? idk though! omg ikr!? magnus being sassy SENDS me, I love it, him and Alec's sassiness is all I need in life. But regardless, here are the facts/thoughts on this episode: 1. Your little dance to the intro was everything omg haha 2. In the books, while Simon never hurt Rebecca, his mother did still disown him, thinking he was a monster (as I mentioned yesterday), Rebecca's reaction was also pretty much the same! She promised she would still love Simon no matter what or who he was. 3. In the show, Magnus was taken in by Asmodeus, but in the books, he was not. He was found by a group of Silent Brothers, who took him in, in hopes of having a warlock in their good graces. It became pretty evedient, pretty quickly that they could not raise a warlock however, so they called one of the friendlier Warlcoks to help them. That's when Magnus met Ragnor. When he first saw the man with green skin, white hair, and extra knucles, Magnus was terrified. He asked, "what-what are you?" and Ragnor said, "I am Ragnor Fell. What are you?" in return. Magnus, who must of been eleven at the most, said, "He said-she called me- they said I was cursed" the following conversation went as follows: "Ragnor came closer. 'And do you always let other people tell you what you are?' Magnus went silent. 'Because they will try,' said Ragnor. 'You have magic, just like I do.' Magnus nodded. 'Well, then,' said Ragnor, 'here are the most important things I can tell you. People will want to control you because of your power. You must be careful of them.'" Ragnor continued to teach and help Magnus through out the years. It was never Asmodeus who did that. Magnus met Asmodeus three times in his past, once, to confirm they were related, the second time to stop a cult in Asmodeus' name, and a third time in the final TMI book. 4. When Lilith asks, "that's what your kind wears for when the lost returns," it's actually a refrence to a rhyme taught to young shadowhunters, revealed in the books. It goes as follows: “Black for hunting through the night For death and mourning the color's white Gold for a bride in her wedding gown And red to call the enchantment down White silk when our bodies burn Blue banners when the lost return Flame for the birth of a Nephilim And to wash away our sins. Gray for the knowledge best untold Bone for those who don't grow old Saffron lights the victory march Green to mend our broken hearts Silver for the demon towers And bronze to summon wicked powers" 5. Simon's scene with his mom BROKE ME. 6. You're going to get the new actor for Jonathan next season, which is super exciting, cause I personally really liked him in this 7. The stele pronounciation "argument" (I'm to tired to think of the correct english word rn. Banter? idk) is probably a refrence to the fact that the fans can not agree on the correct way to pronounce stele, parabatai, and basically every other word in the books xD. 8. The final song that plays is called Fire Meets Fate by Ruelle, and it's an absolute banger. 9. Yes, Alec is okay, no Simon did not kill Lilith. You can't kill greater demons. But she's been injured enough to where she will be recovering in edom for the next millennium at least. The reason we can't make Alec a vampire is because he does not want to be immortal, and he does not want to give up Shadowhunting. Holy crap this comment is way to long omg.

I would probably break something when the end credits appeared. At least Lilith is gone and Jace is back. Is that a partial win? I wonder whether convincing Simon's mom that he's dead was the best move. Becky accepted Simon even though she was the one being hurt. Maybe his mom would too if he decided to tell her at a better time. And told her everything, not just "I'm a vampire". It's just so unnecessary sad. And I'm sorry I'm being annoying about this but Magnus' "my skin crawls when I think about our time together... and btw, I need a favor" was just... :D but to be honest I don't think the result would be any different if he didn't insult him.

2023-07-08 06:16:17 +0000 UTCSo Magnus gave away an essential part of himself (his magic and by extention his immortality) to keep Alec whole bcs he knows how important parabatai bond is.. if that doesn't show how much Magnus loves Alec, idk what does.. ** as for Lilith, she is banished.. demons can't be killed that easily, when you kill them in "real world " they go back to hell dimensions, somewhat weakened but still existing.** can't wait for the next ep)
