I'm so concerned, and the more I think about it, the more concerned I'm getting. is Jordan okay? is Luke in jail? I was LIVING for Alec putting Lorenzo in his place! it's living rent free in my head 🤣

Yeah Kat talks about it in an interview- she did quite well learning the skill quickly enough. Also, to quote the iconic vine, "honey, you've got a big storm coming"

Alright so here are some not so fun facts. These facts will probably get more depressing as the episodes go on because omg, season 3B is painful,
1. If you notice, Magnus' magic color has changed when he's practicing with his new magic. Warlock magic is not supposed to change color, as I've mentioned before, and I think that was a cool little detail.
2. In the ice skating scene, Jace can't skate but Clary can, however, the roles were very reversed with the actors. Kat could not skate, and Dom could, so when you're seeing Clary hold Jace up, it's actually Dom trying to hold Kat up.
3. Magnus' mentions that there is no better way to travel other than using a portal, and while that is probably true, especially because Magnus and a shadowhunter invented the portal, Magnus enjoyed mundane travel quite a lot. He took planes and ships from London to New York, and he and Alec went on the Orient Express together, from Paris to Venice.
4. Magnus never lost his appartment in the books, and even if he had, he had several homes in London, Paris, and other countries he could stay at, if worst comes to worst.
5. Luke never got arrested, but I think that this makes sense for the plot line of the show.
6. Jonathan tries to kiss her because he has demon blood. He thinks in his preverted twisted mind that if she loves him romantically, then he has complete control over her, and therefore she can not leave her. He tries to take it much further in the books, and it is much darker. I despise Jonathan with every being in me for that.
Less facts this episode, but I think it's better to keep it light before the storm that is about to hit us in the next few episodes-

I am so with you, when magnus was talking about what magic meant to him, I was getting so emotional and it was one of those things where you can understand exactly why he did what he did!
HAHAHAHA yes, of course I totally understand, but I do feel like Magnus lashing out was understandable because at the time, Lorenzo told all the warlocks not to help magnus just because he didn't want them to and threatened them if they did, on top of it. it's not like he just lashed out for no reason. Lorenzo is constantly trying to rub everything in magnus' face so he deserved it I feel, but I do understand. again, he has a crazy mansion though so I feel like he could've asked for something else really
yes ikr!? ugh Jonathan is always ruining EVERYTHINGGGGG 😭

Magnus’s body is rejecting the magic that Lorenzo gave him. Things are just going to get more emotional for Malec soooo get ready.

This episode made me feel so many conflicting emotions and most of them revolved around Magnus. I was so anxious and full of rage when Lorenzo was flaunting his magic in front of him and then even made him say please. What a dickhead. But I actually thought at first that he would make him say please and then say no, so that's something :D And I loved Magnus' talk later about what magic means to him. I could FEEL it.
And now an unpopular opinion. I actually get what Lorenzo was telling Alec. Magnus did attack his own superior and is constantly disobedient. If this was the army he would get discharged and probably even ended up in jail. I have no idea what the warlock hierarchy is but from what I have seen all the warlocks obey the high warlock's orders even if they don't agree with them. Except for Magnus, he's doing whatever he pleases, he IS a little bit too proud in this regard. And Lorenzo did help him in the end. So for letting his attack slide AND giving him back the magic that means so much to him... the apartment is a fair price. Ok, the rational me is over, now for the biased me - Lorenzo didn't have to enjoy it so much, I still hate him. Every time he appears on screen I want to smack him. Magnus rules and the next time he should aim his fireball better so that there aren't any witnesses.
And another unpopular opinion ;) I didn't like that Alec went to threaten Lorenzo. Magnus explicitly said no. Magnus is proud and I bet he would rather give up the apartment with smile than give Lorenzo the satisfaction of knowing that he hit home. As Lorenzo said, the fact that Alec came to him tells him that he succeed in humiliating Magnus... but I still hate him.
As for Clary and Jace they were almost great this episode, they were getting there, they went on their little date, just having fun... and let's insert Jonathan, shall we? It all took a nosedive from there and now just the idea of Clace got icky for me.
