Shadowhunters 3x16 REACTION; they are getting engaged!?

this episode was such a bumpy ride.... I think I cried THREE TIMES!? are you joking? If there's one thing I simply cannot handle, it's Alec being upset and man oh man did we get that this episode.

can we also talk about how stupid of a plan it was to summon Lilith!? why are we doing such reckless things. it could've ended up so much worse, but luckily, we've captured Jonathan and hopefully, things are looking up with this potential engagement! Onwards and upwards.... maybe? probably not....

Lmao, Matt has a lot of fun doing it!

I remember that interview vividly! And honestly, they might have changed it because the rules surrounding High Warlocks were vague, minus a fee throw away comments in bonus books!

Honestly, Matt SLAYED that dance, his footwork was *chef's kiss*, obviously harry was amazing so there's that 🤣 That's so interesting that being high warlock doesn't just mean you can boss all of them around, I much prefer that, but think it adds a bit of tension for show purposes! Finding out which scenes are improv by Matt and harry takes me out every time. Also, I need to hear Matt talk about dancing, it's not a want, it's a need 🤣

hahahah I was immediately like, this smells like BS! We had a whole scene where Magnus had to magic the food to make it taste good. my man is a lot of things, but a chef isn't one of them 🤣 I would've been so upset if I thought that was actually happening and then flashed to him SEIZING! I'm with you there for sure! I really don't understand why we couldn't just do more research on the matter and went with the most dangerous and absurd way of trying to get information! 🩶

I remember the first one from an interview with Matt where he compared the news (when he was told that he would dance with Harry) to telling a total novice that they would play against Roger Federer and that they are supposed to win. He didn't seem pleased :D I think he also denied a lot any rumor of there being a dance. And the second one is news to me so thank you! I wonder if they changed it then for the show because Lorenzo seems to have a lot of power over other warlocks - he forbade them twice already to help Magnus and they all obeyed, even Catarina.

Omg haha I remember you texting me after finishing this episode, and you were just not having it xD. Here are the facts to just tie it all up in a nice bow... 1. The dance scene was actually Matt's first time dancing in a show/movie, and I think he did incredible! 2. The spiral labyrinth is a society of Warlocks that have access to basically all the knowledge in the world. They are scholars, and serve, most of the time, as a sort of government for the warlocks. In the sense that they are usually the most powerful warlocks. However, warlocks live alone, and they don't actually really have laws to follow, other than what the clave and the country they live in lays down. Even the possition of high warlock is usually a self appointed title, and only means you tend to have more customers (yes, a person being high warlock does have to be agreed on by the other warlocks in the area, but it is not usually a formal vote) 3. I will say, Lorenzo's jealousy is pretty realistic, in comparison to the books. A lot of warlocks didn't like him because he was so close with Shadowhunters. But Magnus was certainly not born with a silver spoon in mouth, and I think most warlocks would know that. As Magnus says several times, no warlock's story has a happy begining. 4. Maryse never became mundane, so she never got a book shop, but in the books Luke actually owned the book shop. He was not a cop, just a nerdy book shop owner. 5. That pinkie promise is so Simon and Izzy. In the books, Simon was a very sarcastic person, and the way he says it's a very serious thing just screams book!Simon 6. The "can you honestly say you like this?" scene was improvised by Harry and Matt 7. That scene where they banish Lilith has one THE most iconic blooper scenes ever 8. Yes, Glorious was also a book plot. But they got the sword by summoning an angel! 9. It is customary for a shadowhunter to propose to their partner with their family ring! For example, when Will proposed to Tessa, afterwards, he gave her the Herondale ring, to welcome her into the Herondale family.

"This isn't real because my man can't cook." omg, I almost died :D So true! I didn't even think about it that way, at first I thought it might've been another flashback. So does that mean that Magnus dreams about Alec being able to cook and dance? I know that the dancing scene was in the trailer for 3B and people were really excited that they would see Malec dancing. Well, they got Magnus hallucinating about dancing while having a seizure on the floor. Way to go. Ups and downs with this show. Ups and downs :D I hope noone will spoil you what's to come. It's just a few more episodes. This episode was so painful to watch. Alec begging and crying, Magnus losing his magic again and after he told us what magic meant to him. But it wasn't painful just on the Malec front. Watching Clary being selfish again and summoning Lilith... just kill Clary and let it be over. It's just like Aline said in the previous episode - just how many lives is she worth? I know Clary doesn't MEAN to let Lilith go or hurt anyone but it's not like her will is stellar lately and even if it was intentions aren't enough. She just keeps sacrificing everyone around her because "she can't live like this". Ugh, I know I'm being unfair but after summoning Azazel in the second season and resurrecting Valentine in the third, I'm just over this stupidity - three stupid decisions and three failures.
