Added 2023-11-16 03:11:26 +0000 UTCif there's one thing I love about vampire media, it's learning about the vampire lore for the world, so this episode was so much fun! getting to learn with Louis and watch him adapt to becoming a vampire was so interesting and overall just so much fun! I'm already seeing things about lestat that I don't like in regards to the relationship... but that's unsurprising. I'm very interested to see how Louis' business and his relationship with his family progresses going forward as well!! the acting in this show is next level!! 🩶

you bring up a great point! I also noticed that Paul seemed less than thrilled about the wedding which is why my head didn't immediately go to it being lestat - so I can totally see that as well! 🩶

2023-11-21 00:59:48 +0000 UTCKind of melancholy end to this episode. Big contrast to episode one's intensity. I don't think Lestat had anything to do with Paul's death, personally. I can see why people think it but I got the sense Paul was broken by his sister's wedding even before it happened. I think he foresaw the potential for the break-up of the family and no place for him in the new arrangements. It is like Louis' alienation from his mother and sister. It is useful to Lestat's manipulations but it pre-exists Lestat's arrival.
