Interview with the Vampire 1x6 REACTION; finally getting some answers!
Added 2023-11-25 19:00:05 +0000 UTCwe are ramping up to the finale of this season and whilst I'm slightly confused on how this episode ended, what an episode it was!! we really got to see the emotions get heightened between this trio with lestat trying to worm his way back into their lives. Claudia was very opposed, as she should be, and whilst it took some persuading, Louis was always going to let him back in. I LOVED getting to see Claudia beat lestat at chess and not even have to finish the game. that seemingly small interaction took the control away from him and he was not liking that. We got some answers regarding lestat's past as well, whether true or not, I'm hoping to get so many answers to the story in the next episode! 🩶

ahhh thank you for clarifying that for me! that totally makes sense with Antoinette. I loved seeing Claudia know what would push lestat's buttons and really get under his skin and she truly did it so flawlessly! yes! young Daniel was perfect! 🩶

2023-11-30 03:54:46 +0000 UTCClaudia beating Lestat at chess is a great moment for the narrative. We see Claudia revelling in victory, the Lestat-like behaviour Louis dislikes seeing in her. And we see Lestat and his problem avoidance. The control is part of it, as you mention but I think defeat is also fine for Lestat if he can immediately leave the moment and move on, but Claudia suspends the moment. I don't think Lestat changed Antoinette. I think the death she referred to is the death of her that they faked for the newspapers. Also, the casting for young Daniel is impeccable!
