I'm really excited to meet Blackbeard although I'm unsure whether he's going to be nice and go against the stories being told or if he's going to be just like the stories 🤣 Jim just deciding to go in the water had me stressed and of course it would be LUCIUS WHO SAW. WHY. I'm pretty sure nothing bad is going to happen to him but who know, stede is also just such a silly guy 🤣🩶

You're going to find this so funny- his name is not Suede. He doesn't have a name. People just call him The Swede because he's (get this) Swedish

Every character is so unique and different.. such great and diverse casting! ***Also I like how they subtly introduce modern concepts such as psychotherapy (Stede laying on native's leg and talking about his feelings😂) and new phrases like "called it" )) the series is full of these little gems if you keep an eye out for that)

Okay so a few things about this episode- you mentioned you loved Stede's accent, and actually, they originally taking about him and Blackbeard's actor, who I assume you already know is Taika Waititi, having the traditional barbados accent that Stede and Blackbeard would have had. Taika listened to it once, decided he did not want to do it. He asked the writer (David Jenkins) what accent he was expecting, and Jenkins just told him to do his New Zeland accent, so that's what Ryhs and Taika did! Israel (Izzy) Hands was also a real person btw! And Con Oneil played him perfectly!
