Young Royals 1x6 REACTION; Wilhelm, what have you done?

also- Sara, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I was so horrified when that came across my screen. there is simply no way I'm accepting that as something that's going to be happening, I simply can't. Sara is too great for this world. having her betray her brother by not giving him that information and DOING THAT!? no. also, Wilhelm. buddy, it was right there, you could've easily been like, it was me, and moved in. yeah, people would hound you but you told simon you would and now look at the mess you've made! I am so happy that Wilhelm was able to find out who did this with the assist from Felice (QUEEN), but the fact that the literal Queen was like, keep it hush hush, DISGUSTING. simon continues to be the most brave person on the PLANEt by sticking up for himself, and somebody dropped the l-word....... 👀

Young Royals 1x6 REACTION; Wilhelm, what have you done?

Comments

ahhhhh thank you for clarifying this! that makes total sense! 🩶 woohoo simon apologists unite 🤣

Ryann Rodkey

I actually can't even imagine how unbearable that wait was 😭

Ryann Rodkey

exactly! I just don't understand. like I get that you're upset and feel betrayed that he brought your dad back, but with something as severe as that video and her finding out who did that to her brother, you would think she would tell him regardless once she got confirmation that it was August? like I would've went to Simon right away with my suspicions, but like- immediately after it was confirmed?? 🩶

Ryann Rodkey

yes totally! I wish he would've talked to simon before and they could have made a plan, but the Queen being the last person he spoke with really left the impression on what he was going to do which is so unfortunate. totally agree! simon is just saying that at this point, with the way he's been treated and left out as an afterthought in most situations, he needed to step back while Wille figured himself out and what he wanted in general. he even said 'for as long as it takes'. he's the best 😭 you're so right here with your point about the Queen! ugh, it's painful 😭🩶

Ryann Rodkey

seeing Wille like that was very painful, especially in the car. him being honest and asking her 'what if I just want to be with him?' and the incredibly cold stare he got in return, I totally understand why he did it and it's painful but I am so happy that simon protected himself too in that situation 🩶 It is so difficult though bc I feel like the only person who has actually soother him ever was Simon and now with this, he's pushed him away 😭

Ryann Rodkey

retweet on this, say it louder for the people in the back. I really wish he had called simon when he got home and before he did anything and went forward with just not talking about it 😭

Ryann Rodkey

I will keep this in the back of mind! 🩶

Ryann Rodkey

I actually would have NEVER survived if I watched this when it came out. there would have been hell to pay at Netflix's headquarters 🤣 I also totally agree with everything you're saying. while I'm frustrated with Wille for the decisions he made, I absolutely understand why he did what he did. I can't even imagine the amount of pressure and stress on his shoulders, but I was SO proud of Simon for protecting himself in this situation bc I feel like there have been multiple times where he's overlooked the hot and cold and it's just not fair until Wille figures out what he truly wants 🩶

Ryann Rodkey

Yes please!! I think I’m going to make a video watching some interviews and stuff so if you can- can you send me a message with the links of ones you think would be good/safe to watch? 😊🩶

Ryann Rodkey

Ryann, would you like some more cast and crew interview links from around season one?

Dionne Lakey

Young Royals is a roller coaster of emotions. This season has ended at Christmas break not the end of the 1st school year. It has only been one semester. So we still have a few months of the 1st school year. I agree with your Simon defence. Simon can do no wrong ever.

Jayne Riley

The wait we endured between that final look into the camera and the next season was painful. You are fortunate not to have to wait. Buckle up for season 2.

jennifer

Funfact: for watching the last episode (3×6) I made my tea in a Christmas mug in honour of that scene.😂

Selena Strieter

The difference of Felice going straight to Wille as soon as she discovers who made the video and Sara going straight to August. The only reason I can give for her actions is that she is angry at Simon for bringing their dad back into their lives when he said he wouldn't. She feels betrayed by Simon. But yeah, I don't get her lack of loyalty to her brother - it's so disappointing.

Dionne Lakey

So "I hope you have a nice Christmas", is a fan favourite quote. It broke our hearts whilst we waited 16 months for season 2.

Dionne Lakey

This. They make him do such adult things when he shouldn't even be a working royal yet.

Dionne Lakey

Important to note that Simon doesn't want Wille to come out. He didn't want him to say it was him in the video - he wanted him to fight to not say anything at all. At the very least a heads up before he made the statement (like you said- you need to talk to Simon before you do this), so they were both on the same page and Simon was prepared for the announcement Wille would have made. But Wille makes decisions about their relationship that affect Simon without consulting him so Simon can't trust Wille. Things are always on Wille's terms. So self-preservation for Simon was to push back at Wille and advocate for his own needs. Wanting to not be a secret anymore doesn't mean he needs Wille to be out. A lot of fans forget that Simon never pushed Wille to be out. The opposite is true. He gave him grace to figure out what he wants on his own. Something to keep in mind. The awful thing is that the Queen makes decisions about Wille's life without consulting him in exactly the same way. Deciding not to tell Wille about August recording and releasing the video BEFORE making him make a statement - is big manipulative behaviour.

Dionne Lakey

What's even sadder is that hugging yourself like that is usually a self-soothing technique small children do. Meaning, that's from when he was little. I just don't like the parents. The dad could have come while the Queen did her queen stuff for parents day. He doesn't need to be attached to her all the time. He wasn't even sad about it, meaning he never thought they would come anyway. August was shocked that they weren't coming , meaning even his mother shows up.

Pam R

that sign of neglect is spot on. not once did his parents ever call or check up on him during this season except for when they had to tell him his brother died. then we finally see his mother again and its just for her to tell him that he needs to make a statement and lie. the minute he did, she's gone. they didn't show up for parents day. they didn't show up for saint lucia. and well... how much neglect can a child take?

Roj

Also there is no way a 16 year old should have made any statement about a sex tape.

Pam R

Wilhelm's self-soothing breaks my heart. While self-soothing is healthy not hugging yourself like that. That's usually a sign of neglect which seeing his mother, is valid. Like as soon as she tells him to lie, she's gone. And after he makes the statement, notice not one person was there when he left. Simon kills me here too, his heartbreak and hurt. Simon did what was best for him.

Pam R

Make a list. Anything where you say, "Why did they do that?" Chances are, you will find out. I may be repeating myself but Lisa has said, "Everything in the script is there for a reason."

Dennis Verner

i remember watching this when it first came out and at the time we didnt have a s2 renewal so it was like THIS was the ending of the whole show. my heart breaks for simon because he truly does love wille but he does not want to have to deal with being a secret which is so valid and im glad he didn't go through with something he didn't want to do. my heart also breaks for wille though because he was not only betrayed by his cousin, but his own mother. and not to mention the fact that he got outed JUST when he started to discover his sexuality. while it sucks that wille went through with the statement, i understand why he did. he does not want to disappoint his family and the legacy of his brother, which he feels like he would if he did admit it. but most importantly, wille did not even want to make a statement. i mean, what 16 year old deserves to be have to out themselves to the entire world when they are not ready? to be clear, he told simon he would not make a statement in general, not that he would say it is him. excited for u to get into the second season!
