Enjoy! And I would love to know your favorite translated books. Maybe a video idea? πŸ˜†

it's so so good!! and I'll have to check out Snowglobe!

Also, I read quite a bit of translated fiction, mostly Korean & Japanese. I recently finished a Korean sci-fi dystopian book called Snowglobe that was unlike anything I’ve ever read. It’s part 1 of a duology. Kind of like the Truman Show meets Hunger Games meets kdramas.

I read Almond last year and loved it so much! SO fascinating, and made me cry at the end, too. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Yunjae πŸ₯Ή

yeah kind of! I remember I reread the first chapter a couple times because you're kind of just thrown into it but then I was hooked!

Ryann Rodkey

So like a Groundhog Day meets Sherlock Holmes? LOL.

I totally feel that! I'm mostly into Fantasy and Literary Fiction, less into Historical for similar reasons. so far I'm enjoying this one more than the others I've read!! I've not read a ton of mystery books, however, my most recent favorite was The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. It took me a minute to get into because the premise is this man basically wakes up and has to solve this murder but he keeps restarting the day until he figures it out. pretty trippy but very great! I have another Stuart Turton as well, I'll have to throw that on the poll next time! 🩢

I'm more of a mystery book reader myself. I'm desperately awaiting book five in Josh Lanyon's Holmes and Moriarity series. I haven't found anyone who reads the books I read on the book club reactors but they are not for everyone. I read the synopsis of this book, looks interesting but I have a hard time with historical books, they usually make me sad unless they are in some utopia kind of land where everything is nice.
