I enjoyed watching lane go on the journey she's going on and also developing a new crush! and this was full of Luke and lorelai so of course, you know, I had an INCREDIBLE time! also- shouldn't DEB have stopped those kids from asking inappropriate questions?? 🤔

Yes, and I think "Luke" was originally written as a female role, but then...chemistry happened. :)

2025-06-22 17:32:44 +0000 UTCI absolutely love this episode... first of all, Deb was wearing the worst wig! Just terrible! Speaking of wigs, the purple Lane had on was so obvious that it's hysterical! The way that Rory bleached and colored was so incredibly wrong! She didn't get 1/3 of the hair covered! The use of Cool Whip was brilliant, fluffy and nice, and light, but the application is so wrong! I know it's a tv show and they have to do what they can, but it's just so funny to me! The last thing, and the most important reason, is when Lorelai was convincing Luke to give a speech, and she breaks into the best Louis Armstrong impression I've ever seen! I have watched it SO many times, Lauren Graham is brilliant in this role! She says it's her favorite role that she's ever played, and if Amy Sherman-Palladino writes anything for Gilmore Girls in the future, she will drop everything to do it! I've heard rumblings of a one-off Christmas Special, but we shall see! If they are going to have Kelly Bishop in it, they only have a bit more time while she is still alive. Not to be morbid, but she is looking much more frail these days. She's 81 years young now! Kelly loves the Role of Emily as much as Lauren loves Lorelai! I'd hate to think about any new episodes without her! It was 9 years from the end of the original series to the reboot, and now, if they give us a new episode, it'll be exactly 9 years since the reboot, until now. It's time!!! Christmas and Gilmore girls... what more can you ask for?!?! Oh, I probably should have mentioned in the beginning that I am a hairdresser! lol! Btw, I'd just like to mention how great Luke looks in this episode! He cleans up well! For anyone who doesn't know... Scott Patterson (Luke), was a professional baseball player before Gilmore Girls. His coach actually called him out and said he was a great player, but his heart wasn't in the game anymore, and that he should follow his heart and pursue acting instead! Luke Danes was just supposed to be there for one episode only, but the chemistry between Scott and Lauren was so great, they had to keep him around! Hell yeah, their connection is undeniable! So hot! lol!
