Build 0.8 Released!

Faaaaantastic. I love the writing for this game, especially Carl's route. The writing for Wednesday was super good, though the transitions had some abrupt switching between scenes that could be improved a bit? I love the way Carl teases Chase when they're outside the party together, and just the general interactions between them are really enjoyable. Ugh, now I have to wait for some more all over again, bahaha! I will say that I find the change in Carl's sprite coloring a bit off maybe (lotta white instead of brown), but I really like it! His new posture and face make him look less like a devious chubby pothead ram, and more like a kinda cocky or smug chubby sport ram... but as I said I still really like it. Out of the new sprites, I'd say that Carl's fairs the best! Leo's is good, though the color seems pretty sharp... and could maybe be toned down in saturation or brightness? Flynn's is decent enough, but I wasn't exactly attached to his last sprite, so I dunno. I also rather like TJ's too, though he looks more cool and sexy now, compared to his more dorky last sprite (which kinda suited him a bit more, despite the weird face he had)! Overall, super duper good! I'm friggin' loving this so far! More, please! :)

@all who dont like the new sprites: The Human is a habitual animal, that means every change in their known surroundings are disturb them much... (a good example is YouTube). Everything is just a matter of habit ;) #Peace

I've had similar thoughts myself, but I think it's important to really think about whether we feel that way because those are the sprites we "grew up with", so to speak, or because they actually fit the game better. Recent patrons have expressed endearment towards the new sprites over the old ones, and that makes me wonder if some of us older patrons aren't simply having our thoughts obscured by "nostalgia goggles" (even though this game isn't that old).

I think the issue with the sprites really need to be looked at closely. The new sprites are a real let down compared to the old sprites. It's not that they are drawn badly, they just don't fit the game itself. The original sprites really went with the story and the world, I thought.

It did seem a bit... jarring? I agree.

I feel like there should be something between the scene where Jenna gets mad and them playing video games later. Even if it's completely uneventful I think there should be an "the party wraps up and Chase decides to figure out Jenna later" sort of thing just so we know what happened.

Hmmm... i dont know... maybe its because i joined this project on 0.7 so i never playd with the old sprites... But i love the new sprites. I saw the old ones and... they look way to young. So the newer one fits perfectly :3 In my Opinion, Tj (love his fleece x3)& Flynn looks perfect :3 Leo is still my Favourit x3 but yeah Carl looks great too . Dont know why you think he looks like "Star Fox"... the spurs on his backs are awesome and i love his look/eyes.

Not too fond of the new sprites, I wish I could've voted or said anything about it, but I've pledged way too much already this month on other projects. Might have to lower some to pledge on this one and possibly Blackgate. TJ's just rub me the wrong way, I don't even think it's because of the art style, it just looks like a different person with different features and the look on his face. I'm really "eh" on him. Carl's works, though I still prefer the older sprites, this one fits. Leo's is okay. However, Flynn's just... ah, I can't look at him. He looks like Falco from Star Fox, it's probably because of his only expression as of now, but I find it extremely distracting and just unfitting compared to the older sprite. Still hoping for an "old sprite" option, but I bet it's gonna grow on me. Next to them, Jenna's doesn't stick out like a sore thumb I'd say, guess I'll just have to get over it. The new UI looks great, though it's missing an "auto-forward speed" option. I've never picked Carl's route before, so with this update, it's the right moment to try it.

Really enjoying Carl's route so far. Honestly, I find his personality very relatable. Can't wait for the next update!
