One of my favorite episodes. Toph's personality really bounces off delightfully against all the others, seeming like Katara's opposite one episode and then Aang's opposite the next… Toph and Sokka are two versions of the "no-nonsense" part of the crew - Sokka will jab at you with sarcastic remarks and Toph will just call you out on you BS without mincing words. I love'em both.

Super late to the party, but fire and lightning are linked in a number of ways. They're both forms of energy. and lightning produces heat energy when it passes through the air. More indirectly, large fires can cause thunderstorms by heating the atmosphere. Lightning can cause fire, fire can cause lightning. Also, ignore me if someone already said all this in the youtube comments.

The ATLA list of episodes only goes to episode 5, but i see 8 and 9 in recent uploads. Im really trying to watch 6, one of my fav episodes!

Iroh is capable of Lightning Generation and Lightning Redirection. Different techniques entirely, Azula is only capable of generation. Also you didnt seem confused by this, but i figure ill point it out any way because a lot of people get confused, water benders CAN NOT redirect lightning. Its a firebending move, that is based on waterbending. Not a waterbending move that firebenders can do. You seemed pretty upset with Toph this episode, she explained exactly why she was acting the way she was, because its a different mindset, and you even said Aang needs to change his mindset, but still kept blaming Toph for Aang failing. If Toph tried to teach him super nice it NEVER would have worked.

I like to think that the reason iroh doesn't call zuko out sometimes is because he wants him to learn for himself and find his own identity, rather than telling him he has to be a certain way, like with how his father parents.
