ATLA S3 EP 18-21 FINALE!

TYSM for recommending this show and watching me on my journey! I appreciate you all. It was a joy to watch this and the finale was incredible:) this has been my favorite show to watch in forever and I'll never forget it.

Ep 18-19 - melatla1

Ep 20-21 - atlamel2

I hope you stick around for Korra cause that's what's coming next:)

Comments

Azula, the prideful dignified princess, ends the show yelling unintelligibly, chained and flailing about on the ground like a wild animal, defeated by a peasant. Truly the only way it could've ended.

eworm

Sokka, the non-bender, decimating the entire fleet of giant war airships filled with powered-up firebenders with nothing but his intelligence, boomerang, sword, non-bender girlfriend and motherf*ckin' Toph. A genuine contender for - and in my eyes the winner of - the #1 character in the show.

eworm

There were also comics before Zuko joined and before the Comet came.

SkipHearts47

Korra hasn’t even started yet, you’re talking about season 3 already. You can’t wait. 💀💀💀

💀💀💀

Nothing you said matters, thats a lazy excuse to let a lazy deus ex machina slide. He also said that while it was happening rather than the initial conversation that they had. Lazy lazy lazy.

Zeallust

it was never mentioned because the power was never used by any of the previous avatars and there is a lot of previous avatars. the lion turtle said BEFORE THE ERA OF THE AVATAR. mean aang is the first avatar to use this ability meaning it wasn't known by anyone except for this very ancient turtle. and we have a bison with the ability to fly, and a fox that run up walls and a panda that turns into a scary monster but oh no when animal that is ancient and big can talk and have the ability to show someone energy bending it is to far from reality. plus a lot of energy was talked about with the guru, how to create lightning, how to redirect it and with the sun warriors. plus if it is a deus ex machina what is bad about that

David Hansen

i liked tyLee's arc that she was so desperate to be different and stand out from her sisters that she joined the circus. In the end she found her inner confidence and joined the kyoshi warriors literally becoming a matched set with the armor and facepaint

Kyle Essiambre

And Appa and Zuko are my favorites as well lol

Napolii

Gotta watch Hunter x Hunter at some point. If you love DBZ, ATLA, HxH is gonna be right up there.

Napolii

I think you’re going to enjoy Korra. Has some lows but the highs are masterful. I enjoyed it. Also what about the Netflix live action show coming out next month. I’m so excited.

Justin Stokholm

Lower expectations for Korra 😬

Jsol _03

so here are some fun facts about the lion turtle. it was hinted all the way back in the episode the library aang is sitting on the floor seeing them on a scroll and says hey look at the lion turtle. in sokka"s master we see statues of lion turtles in the courtyard. and his master mentions lion turtle as he is describing sokkas talents. also the lion turtle was masking aang scent because it was so ancient. and it would have to be because it showed him what they did before the era of the avatar and there have been many avatars.

David Hansen

And what does any of that have to do with their previously never even hinted ability to grant a style of bending that has literally never been mentioned not even once? The existence of an animal does not imply that it can grant abilities, especially not abilities that were never mentioned in any way. Im so tired of hearing you blind fans use this dumb ass argument. It IS a deus ex machina, it was NEVER mentioned or hinted until it happened.

Zeallust

except the lion turtle was hinted back in the episode the library Aang is siting looking at a scroll and says hey look at these lion turtle and why he knew it was a lion turtle. there are a couple of lion turtle statue in the court yard in Sokka's master and Pandio even mention lion turtle as he is describing Sokka.

David Hansen

Definitely not going no where. This is something I’m enjoying

Honestly, I’ve watched probably 20 or so of people’s reactions to this series and yours is by far the BEST! I could tell you loved this show and will keep it close to your heart. I loved how you stayed quiet at the end as you just wanted to enjoy every last second of it!! You should maybe do another video talking more about your thoughts on the show, maybe a Q&A. What you thought about zuko’s character, maybe who was your 3rd favorite character? Etc. I love your reactions, I literally watch your YouTube reactions to ATLA just to support you even though I already watched them here. So I’m looking forward to your Korra reactions since I’ve never had the patience to watch it myself. Thank you for an amazing journey Melon!!

castulo

I found your channel because of your reactions to this show, it was such a pleasure watching your journey through it ❤️

sean

As it turns out, there was in fact. A war in Ba Sing Se

Jonah Bertorelli

if you are interested in reading any of the avatar universe there are a few series that are sequels to Aangs story, the first being The Promise which is how Zuko and Aang help to restore the world after the war, the second is The Search where Zuko looks for his mother

Deadriot

If you look closely, Aang is on the tips of his toes for that last kiss

Zeallust

My biggest gripe with ATLA is that the ending entirely relies on 2 deus ex machinas that were never even hinted at before the moment they happen.

Zeallust

I’m so glad you loved the show! Please note that korra is not like atla it’s entirely different in its own way and it may not be as good as atla buts its still a great show. I can’t wait until korra season 3 tho melon it’s by far the best season in all of avatar.

Zaza

The Titles of the first and last episodes of the series perfectly encapsulate the character development for the show (1x1: The Boy in The Iceberg, and 3x21: Avatar Aang) not just for Aang but for our whole main cast. Aang goes from being just a goofy kid that just wants to have fun to a fully realized, powerful avatar at only 12 years old. Katara goes from a fledgling waterbender that doesn't even fully understand her ability to very loving and caring waterbending master that took down Azula. Sokka goes from being a sexist, somewhat immature and self abosrbed older brother to being an amazing humble leader and genius who in the final battle depends on the capable women he's with. Toph invents metalbending and seismic sense (seeing with her feet) and learns to accept help from and depend on others. Zuko goes from being a super angry and confused prince to having unquestionable honor, like Iroh said, to the point where he defies his father, sister, and his whole nation before helping who he thought was his sworn enemy and becoming firelord himself. Also if you really want to deep dive into this series more, I recommend checking out Overanalyzing Avatar on YouTube! Super interesting guy and he basically just sort of breaks down every episode of the show in a comedic way and comments on various things like certain nitpicks, themes, shot compositions, character feats, etc.

halz

Just finished your reaction, thank you for this journey! Looking forward to sticking around and seeing what you do next :)

Condowling

Yea maybe in the future steins gate is a show I’ve been wanting to watch:)

Melon

Really happy to hear you’ve been enjoying them!!

Melon

Yeah, Iroh is absolutely a war criminal by modern standards. We all know hes grown from that, but history wouldnt see him the same way we do because not every person in the shows world gets to see him as closely as we do.

Zeallust

Avatar Yang Chen and Avatar Kyoshi have novels about them btw. Definitely worth reading if you like reading. Kuruk has a few stories as well, but as far as I know he doesnt have like a whole book lol

Zeallust

Oh yeah and HxH. But it’s quite long so I get wanting to do other shows instead.

Gordon Ramsay

What a ride! Since you’ve already done FMA:Brotherhood, the only show I can think of right now is Steins Gate (which might have already been on a poll). Excited to see whatever ya choose in the future.

Gordon Ramsay

The irony of Ty Lee complaining in The Beach about wanting individuality due to being being part of a matched set with her sisters growing up, only to wind up being part of a matched set with all the Kyoshi Warriors.

jhawkkaw

Sick pfp

Zeallust

I definitely will be sticking around for Korra. Just hoping you dont try to compare them too much, great shows for different reasons.

Zeallust

Atla is a goated show so dont compare it with Korra and you will still have alot of fun in Korra too.

LegendarySuperSaiyan

This is a great final and great a Reaction 😎😂😂

Lol I was supposed to go to bed now because I have to work early. But I love your reaction so much that I will first watch episode 18 and 19.

Thomas

This was such a fun ride! and can't wait for Korra. Wasn't a big fan of the show but it's good to give another shot specially with your insight

It’s been a fun ride.

SkipHearts47

This is the 1st time i bought someone's patreon and it was to watch your ATLA reactions, because i loved them on YT and i can now say it was well worth it! Will follow your Korra journey too :)

Finally! Great way to end my week
