There is no problem with comparing, especially in the first season, but most of the hate comes from people who could not separate both series, the concepts are different in most aspects, Aang was a nomadic monk who made many friends through it. world, Korra is a troublemaker who grew up constantly watching for the white lotus... just remember that Atla ended and tlok tries to tell his own story.
