The idea that Shirogane's father wants to marry his son into Kaguya's family for their wealth… seems like a funny joke unless you've read the manga, holy sh*t. There's a reveal that really recontextualizes the guy's support for the two and somehow it makes him an even bigger king than anyone thought possible.
