You should watch the intro in sub at least once if you’re gonna watch it at all. The Cha-La-Head-Cha-La’s way better than the Bruce Falconer intro.

The reason that the fights are so good in Dragon Ball and Z/Kai is because the story is woven into the fights rather than being separate event. When Goku shouted, I've still got one arm!", there was already so much emotion in that fight that it was a huge emotional payoff. If you're not watching the Dragon Ballverse for the plot, you're probably not watching much of the show.
