Yes, this is a clip show, but it does have a point. Meryl reflecting on these events and coming to grips with the reality of the situation is, to me at least, the real meat of the episode. There are couple of moments where she falls into her old perspective, but Millie calls her out. The reveal of Vash's scarred body is such a shocking moment.
