This episode shows that episode 4 is an even bigger tragedy than we thought. The reveal that the military is secretly already capable of making fully formed chimeras means that all of Shou Tucker's research was for nothing.

2022-11-02 20:52:27 +0000 UTCmelon, not giving spoilers but explaining a bit of fma brotherhood. the guy that you dont know that wants to get revenge on ed and al is from the first full metal alchemist. some of the first episodes of that one follow the manga, but after a couple of episodes, they did their own history not following the manga. the fma brotherhood follows the history before they go to the church of leto. so that's why you dont know him, he is from the first part of fma, before the church. you could watch it offstream to understand a little about some characters that will be in the show.
