The reason that pride didn't attack kimblee when he was used as a shield was because pride wants them to get away and get into the city, after all how can Al be a sacrifice if he's not in the right place to be sacrificed? And why drag a heavy suit of armor around yourself when you can have it take itself there?

And I remember not liking Olivier Armstrong because I thought she was boring, that being said I believe re-watching this with you has changed my opinion of her. I think she’s actually pretty cool and I don’t really know why I disliked her when I first watched this. Just felt like mentioning this about her. Thanks for that.

He's also too lazy to even question why he's doing something he doesn't want to do and just blindly follows orders, making the world a worse place in the process. Pride swallowed Kimblee because he now has Gluttony's hunger.
