I'm really enjoying this show too! As much as I liked Akane, I think I like Kana more. You were correct that the purpose catch scene was for Aqua to sort out his feelings kinda bouncing thoughts off of Kana. Lastly "complexs" as used here aren't specifically sexual in nature, they just imply obsession. In this case she said "SisCon", because he wouldn't do anything that (he thinks) could negatively affect her.
