I think it's funny how the "exams" kicked off immediately and we're only just now getting hints at a power system this far into the series.

2025-09-03 09:53:49 +0000 UTCThe chunin exam is definitely a better and more involved arc than the hunter exam which is meant to serve as an introduction and set up the world and the character dynamics. Episodes 19-20 transition the show to the main plot and serve for important character work for Gon and Killua, instead of a conventional tournament with climactic 1 on 1 fights.
