If you're looking for another show to scratch the itch of scheming drama and plot constantly entertwining because of the ambitions from many different parties after Code Geass is over, I would like to recommend giving Fate/Zero a shot. It may not have the constant barrage of 200 IQ plays like Code Geass and Death Note, but it is mostly enjoyed for the same reasons as these shows (just make sure to find the blu-ray version, because the TV release has a lot of scenes cut).

2025-10-15 17:22:02 +0000 UTCCode Geass is definitely better than DN imo as well. The second half of DN brings it way down, both the show and Light as a character. CG might be more dramatic for the sake of it but it's consistent and it does more to accomplish the original scope of DeathNote imo, where Light wanted to change the world. Somehow the world of DeathNote ended up feeling very small while Code Geass's feels grant and full of color by comparison and it's interesting to see Lelouch attempt to shake it up from Brittania's stasis.
