"Why though?" Uchiha Izumi asked curiously.

She had been at the scene of the duel this morning. And now when the conversation turned to Uchiha Itachi awakening his Sharingan, Izumi sounded envious.

For any Uchiha, awakening their Sharingan was always the most important milestone.

Yet, judging by Yami's expression, he didn't seem to think it was such a good thing.

"Because he's too young," Yami replied, reaching out to ruffle Izumi's soft black hair. The little girl had been growing it out since she was small—it was long, silky, and had a great texture.

Izumi pouted and pulled his hand away.

She had spent so much time styling her hair this morning, only for it to be messed up in an instant.

Yami chuckled and continued explaining, "There are certainly many benefits to unlocking the Sharingan, but we're still kids. Our bodies aren't fully developed yet, and we're in a period of rapid growth."

"If you awaken the Sharingan too early, the balance between your mental energy and your physical body gets disrupted."

"It's basically like squeezing out your body's potential in an unnatural way. And if you overuse it, the consequences could be even worse—you might end up with permanent health issues."

Yami strongly suspected that Itachi's sickly condition in the future had a lot to do with awakening his Sharingan and Mangekyō too early.

In this world, human cells were three times stronger than in his previous life, and people matured faster.

But still, awakening the Sharingan at six or seven? That was way too much—it was basically overclocking your own body.

During his time at the Academy, Yami had observed that Itachi was quite sturdy—he didn't look sick at all.

But as the saying goes: 'Don't burn the candle at both ends.'

Hearing how serious Yami made it sound, Izumi curled up slightly, her tiny body tensing. Any envy she had felt toward Itachi vanished instantly.

Then, after a moment, her curiosity returned.

"Yami, how do you know all this? None of the adults in my clan have ever mentioned it. All they ever say is that the sooner we awaken the Sharingan, the better."

Yami answered nonchalantly, "Of course, my old man told me. He's the Hokage's advisor—what doesn't he know?"

"Ohhh, that makes sense," Izumi nodded in realization.

No wonder. When in doubt, just pin it on Danzo—it was the perfect excuse that nobody would question.

A while later, it was lunchtime, so Yami took Izumi to Konoha's famous Ichiraku Ramen.

Otsutsuki Ichiraku—the legendary figure in the ramen world! Well, that was just a running joke among fans.

In reality, Teuchi was just an ordinary ramen chef.

But his ramen? Absolutely top-notch.

Yami and Izumi were frequent customers. Every time, Yami would order an extra-large bowl of his special ramen, along with two servings of korokke.

Izumi, on the other hand, had a much smaller appetite—just a normal-sized bowl was enough for her.

But this time, Yami noticed something interesting.

In the kitchen, a girl around their age was helping out. Teuchi was kneading dough, and when he asked her to add water, she did so very carefully, as if terrified of adding too much.

Teuchi happened to glance back and saw Yami watching the girl. Smiling, he introduced her.

"This is my daughter, Ayame. She doesn't have any talent for being a ninja, so she's not attending the Academy. Instead, she's learning the family business here with me."

Ayame shyly peeked out from behind Teuchi and gave a small nod to Yami and Izumi.

In her mind, she thought: This boy is really handsome…

Actually, Yami had inherited great genes from both parents. His mother had the classic face of a beauty, and as for his father…

Don't be fooled by what Danzo looks like now—like a walking disaster zone. Back in his youth, he was one of the most handsome men in the village, famous for his looks.

He was even capable of making Tsunade and Shizune blush just by being near them.

So naturally, Yami turned out to be quite the looker, inheriting and optimizing the best traits of both parents.

It was easy to predict—once he fully grew up, he was definitely going to be a lady-killer.

After finishing lunch, Yami walked Izumi back to the Uchiha compound before returning home himself. He was eager to review today's gains.

Crushing Uchiha Itachi in a one-sided defeat had definitely been rewarding—especially with all the high-ranking ninjas watching.

Since many of them were Special Jonin or Jonin, the rewards he received were of incredibly high quality.

The first piece, also one-third, had come from strengthening his bond with Uchiha Izumi.

Namiashi Raidō …Yami recalled that he was a Special Jonin from the village.

He, along with Shiranui Genma and Iwashi Tatami, had once served as the Fourth Hokage's personal guards in the plot. The three of them could even perform the Flying Thunder Formation together—so it made sense that he had a talent for space-time jutsu.

What surprised Yami was that this kind of ability had dropped as a first-stage reward. Guess today was just his lucky day.

One more fragment, and he could start training in the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Without the Six Paths-level characters involved, a ninja who mastered Flying Thunder God was nearly unkillable. The only way to deal with them was through elaborate countermeasures.
