[U.T] Ch 3: Oda's biological son?

Luen looked at Koby—the so-called "Coward King," despised by many.
He then silently commanded: "Show Traits."
[Koby]
→Traits:
•Basic Navigation (White)
•Conqueror's Haki (Unawakened) (Light Gold)
•Faction Betrayal (Special)
•Faction Fortune (Super Gold)
---
Even though he had expected something ridiculous, Luen couldn't help but curse inwardly.
"Another special trait? Are you kidding me?!"
One special, one light gold, and one super gold.
That super gold trait was already activated—on the same level as Luffy's. Was this clown secretly Oda's favorite character?!
Traits of super gold rank were typically reserved for individuals with Admiral-level strength or those with the guaranteed potential to reach that level.
Of course, non-combat traits, like Nami's Advanced Navigation (Deep Purple) and Weather Perception (Light Gold), had a different ranking system.
But a combat-related super gold trait meant that Koby was fated to become at least Admiral-tier in the future.
Koby? Really?!
And he even had Conqueror's Haki???
Looking at Koby's cowardly, glasses-wearing face, Luen felt a wave of disgust.
He then examined the details of these traits.
—[Basic Navigation (White)]—
Allows for simple navigation in relatively calm seas.
—[Conqueror's Haki (Unawakened) (Light Gold)]—
A rare kingly disposition possessed by only one in a million. Cannot be acquired through training.
At the initial awakening stage, it can knock out weak-willed individuals with sheer presence.
—[Faction Betrayal (Special)]—
In critical moments, betrays his own faction, leading to severe losses for his allies.
(Special traits cannot be upgraded.)
—[Faction Fortune (Super Gold)]—
When a major figure from his faction falls, Koby absorbs their fortune, significantly boosting his own strength.
(Only activates if within proximity to the fallen target.)

"..."
After reading through the traits, Luen reconsidered his earlier assumption.
Scratch that—this bastard is definitely Oda's biological son!
No wonder Koby, despite being a joke of a character, was somehow set up as the next-generation Marine Hero.
No wonder when Garp fell at Hachinosu, Koby suddenly powered up out of nowhere.
The reason was clear—Faction Fortune (Super Gold).
That clown stole Garp's fortune as the Marine Hero to strengthen himself.
"Falling" didn't necessarily mean dying. As long as a major figure's era ended, and Koby was within range, he would inherit their fortune.
Luffy's power-up on Onigashima made sense—he had Sun God (Super Gold) and still had to get smashed unconscious by Kaido's club multiple times before breaking through.
Koby, on the other hand, simply existed near fallen legends and got stronger.
And paired with Faction Betrayal (Special)? Oh, the synergy was obvious.
It all made sense now.
No wonder Koby randomly jumped in at Marineford to stop Akainu, and somehow, Akainu—a ruthless monster—actually listened to his nonsense for an entire speech.
That wasn't Koby's charisma.
That was the trait's effect in action.
•Faction Betrayal (Special): "In critical moments, betrays his own faction, leading to severe losses for his allies."
From the Marines' perspective, Koby delayed Akainu, allowing Shanks' crew to arrive, letting Luffy escape, and ensuring Whitebeard's remnants survived.
That was an undeniable major loss.
And afterward, because of Koby's meddling, Garp's era in the Marines ended.
Then, Koby stole his fortune and became stronger.
But it was a good thing for Luen.
Now, the stronger Koby's traits, the better.
Luen's eyes gleamed as he stared at Koby.
"Wait, this kid is from Alvida Pirates?" Luffy asked, still munching on the food Luen had given him.
"I... I am, but it's not like I had a choice..." Koby stammered.
"If you're with the Alvida Pirates, then you can stay down."
Luen had no patience for Koby's nonsense. With a single kick, he sent Koby flying, knocking him out instantly.
"Hey, he wasn't even fighting back. Did you really need to do that?" Luffy asked, swallowing his food.
"Because he betrayed his crew."
Luen met Luffy's gaze seriously.
Luffy wasn't naïve—he just wouldn't attack someone who didn't fight back.
That was likely Shanks' influence.
"Betrayed his crew?" Luffy blinked.
"Exactly. He's with the Alvida Pirates, yet he told us to watch out for them. That kind of betrayal is the worst thing out at sea.
A crewmate is someone you can trust with your life."
Luen's words struck a chord with Luffy.
After all, Luen had shared his food. And, more importantly, his views on crewmates aligned with Luffy's ideals.
As for Koby? Luffy had just met the guy and barely spoken to him because of Luen's interference.
His earlier question was just due to Shanks' teachings about not attacking the weak.
Now that he understood Luen's reasoning, he actually wanted to clap.
Luffy hated traitors the most.
"Plunder."
Luen's eyes flashed as he stared at the unconscious Koby.
To steal a trait, the target needed to be unconscious.
These weren't the kinds of traits a clown like Koby deserved.
"I'll be taking these!"
A faint glow only Luen could see flowed from Koby to himself.
Success!
A smirk appeared on Luen's lips.
[Luen]
→Traits:
•Basic Navigation (White)
•Beast Strength (Blue)
•Conqueror's Haki (Unawakened) (Light Gold)
•Faction Fortune (Super Gold)
---
From a single blue trait to a light gold and a super gold?
Now that's an upgrade.
As for Faction Betrayal (Special)? Hell no.
Strong people could be evil, cruel, or extreme.
But they should never be clowns.
With his Ultimate Trait System, Luen had no need for underhanded nonsense.
Plus, that trait couldn't even be upgraded.
[Ding!]
[First time plundering a gold trait. Bonus granted.]
[Conqueror's Haki (Light Gold) activated.]
Luen's smirk widened.
Now this was an unexpected bonus.
