As soon as Luen confirmed his acceptance of Luffy's invitation, a translucent screen appeared before him—visible only to him.

Displaying the possible traits he could load from Luffy, the system offered a simple and user-friendly interface, complete with an option to load each trait immediately.

However, one special trait, Powerful Connections (Special), was grayed out.

This trait stemmed from Luffy's lineage and personal relationships, making it impossible to load. Fortunately, being Luffy's companion meant Luen could still benefit from its effects indirectly, so it didn't matter too much.

After a brief moment of consideration, Luen selected Superhuman Physique (Deep Purple) and Sun God (Super-Gold) for loading.

As for Gomu Gomu no Mi [Disguise] (Deep Purple), he chose not to load it.

Without its true awakening—transforming into the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika—the Rubber Fruit was just an average Paramecia-type power. To unleash its true strength, techniques like Gear Second, Gear Third, and Gear Fourth were necessary. However, according to the original story, these techniques came at the cost of the user's lifespan.

For Luen, who could turn abilities into traits and extract them from others, this was not a worthwhile trade-off.

Once Luffy awakened his true power and unlocked Nika's abilities, Luen could simply load the Nika power directly.

After all, the real strength of this Devil Fruit lay in its broken imagination-based abilities, not the rubber properties themselves.

Once Luen finalized his selection, his personal traits list updated accordingly.

It was simple and clear. However, compared to directly stealing abilities, loading them took significantly longer.

Superhuman Physique (Deep Purple) at least showed some progress after a moment, albeit slowly.

But Sun God (Super-Gold)? The progress bar didn't move at all—at least, not at a speed Luen could detect.

Then again, it made sense. This was an Super-Gold tier trait. Fully loading it would obviously take a long time.

Fortunately, Luen was now part of the Straw Hat Pirates. He had plenty of time to complete the process.

Being able to load these powerful abilities was far better than just watching Luffy use them and being unable to steal them.

Sooner or later, these traits would belong to him.

Plus, he could always experiment later to see if there were ways to speed up the loading process.

"Alright! Let's set sail! But first, we need to find a ship. My boat got swallowed by that giant whirlpool." Luffy grinned, adjusting his straw hat.

Having found his first crewmate, he was in high spirits.

"If we do find a ship, I know a little bit about navigation." Luen chuckled.

This was precisely why he had stolen Koby's Navigation (White) trait earlier.

Luen hadn't forgotten that, in the original story, before Nami joined, Luffy's sailing was basically just drifting aimlessly.

Even when looking for Zoro, it was Koby—using Navigation (White)—who had led the way.

Now that Koby was out of the picture, Luen figured it was best to take that ability for himself and temporarily fill in as the Straw Hats' navigator.

"You know how to navigate?! That's awesome! I knew taking you on board was a great idea!" Luffy cheered.

"It's just basic navigation. I wouldn't call myself a navigator. I can handle sailing in calm seas, but when it comes to the Grand Line, my skills won't cut it."

Luen smiled. "Luffy, if you want to become Pirate King, you have to go to the Grand Line, right?"

"Of course! I have to conquer the Grand Line to be Pirate King. I made a promise!" Luffy declared, gripping his straw hat, his eyes filled with nostalgia.

Luen knew what he was thinking about—his promise to Red-Haired Shanks.

"Then we definitely need to find a real navigator who can handle the Grand Line." Luen mused, recalling a certain graceful figure he had danced with not long ago.

"Heh, no worries! I'll find some crewmates! I know I will!" Luffy grinned optimistically, placing his straw hat back on his head.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a huge shadow crashed through the deck, landing heavily in front of Luen and Luffy.

"So you two brats are the ones messing with my crew?!"

A hideous, beast-like creature wielding a massive iron mace barked at them.

She was a woman.

"Doesn't seem like 'Pirate Hunter' Zoro…" The hideous woman sneered after sizing up Luffy and Luen.

"Zoro?" Luffy tilted his head.

"Koby! You useless brat! Are you still alive?!" The woman bellowed, glaring at Koby's unconscious body.

She wasn't concerned for Koby's well-being—she just missed hearing him praise her beauty.

"Who's this rude old hag?" Luffy asked curiously, pointing at her.

"!!!"

The entire Alvida Pirates crew froze in horror.

"Hahaha, that's Iron Mace Alvida. She's got a 5 million berry bounty." Luen smirked.

"Show traits ." Luen glanced at her.

Luen couldn't help but chuckle at the Super Thick Fat trait—how fitting.

Meanwhile, Luffy's casual remark and Luen's amusement only fueled Alvida's fury.

"DIE, YOU LITTLE BRATS!!" she roared, swinging her massive iron mace at them.

Whoosh!

Luen, empowered by Beast Strength, pushed off the ground and leaped onto the deck alongside Luffy.

"I'm not a brat. My name is Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm a pirate. Nice to meet you!" Luffy grinned.

"WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR NAME?!" Alvida howled, charging forward.

"Damn, she's one angry hag." Luffy sighed.

"BRAT!!!" Alvida's eyes burned with rage.

Her lackeys, knowing her wrath, rushed in to attack as well.

"Wow, ganging up on us? That's dirty!" Luffy yelled, preparing to fight.

"Leave them to me." Luen smirked, stopping him.

His eyes gleamed with red-black energy—
