[U.T] Ch 9: Infinite Devil Fruits!

— — — — — —

At this moment, Luen had no idea that he had already achieved his goal and that his name was about to spread across the seas in the headlines.

Right now, he was simply using his navigation skills (White) to sail with Luffy.

"We're about to land. Our destination, Shells Town, is just ahead."

Checking the sea chart, Luen saw the land appearing in the distance and couldn't help but smile.

Nothing was more exciting during a long voyage than seeing land. And when that land happened to be the very destination you were headed for, the joy was doubled.

Thanks to Luen's preparations, this journey had been much smoother than Luffy's usual adventures, where he would go days without food.

The East Blue was also relatively calm, making the trip easy—especially for someone like Luen, who had the Navigation (White) trait.

"Shishishi, we got here so fast! Guess we really do need a navigator if we're heading to the Grand Line. Oh, and a musician too!"

Luffy was buzzing with excitement.

Before Luen joined the crew, Luffy's entire method of travel relied on drifting aimlessly in a small boat he had taken from his Village. Experiencing such a fast and precise voyage for the first time, he was already hooked.

But Luen had told him his navigation skills wouldn't be enough to handle the Grand Line, so finding a navigator was now a priority for Luffy.

Of course, a musician was also a must.

"A musician, huh? Not a bad idea."

Luen chuckled at Luffy's insistence.

Luffy had an obsession with wanting a musician. The Straw Hat Pirates wouldn't actually get one until they faced the Warlord of the Sea, Gecko Moria.

Luen had already confirmed something with his Trait System—

Despite being under the World Government in name, the Warlords of the Sea were still pirates at their core, fully aligned with the pirate faction. They were the highest-ranking figures in the pirate world, just below the Four Emperors.

Taking down a Warlord would activate Luen's Faction Fortune (Super Gold) trait.

In that case, it was a win-win situation.

Moria, among the Warlords, was considered one of the weakest. Taking him down would be easy pickings.

But before dealing with Moria, there was another problem that needed handling—

The Warlord of the Sea, the Desert King, Crocodile. A Logia-type Devil Fruit user with the power of the Sand-Sand Fruit.

Luen's eyes narrowed.

The Sand-Sand Fruit, even among Logia types, was a force to be reckoned with.

Just having such a Devil Fruit ability was enough to make someone Warlord-level in strength. And with the addition of Haki, it was easy to reach the level of a top commander under an Emperor or even an Admiral candidate.

Of course, Luen's true target was a Devil Fruit that stood at the pinnacle of Logia abilities—the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

A fruit that combined speed, attack power, and destructive range into one. A true natural disaster, making it arguably one of the strongest Devil Fruits in existence.

Luen had to get it.

Over the past few days, he had been experimenting with his Trait System, and the results were clear—he could possess multiple Devil Fruit abilities.

The Trait System converted Devil Fruits into traits, allowing him to steal and use them. Each stolen ability existed as an individual trait.

And because he wasn't eating the fruits directly but rather absorbing their abilities through his system, he didn't have to worry about the drawbacks of consuming multiple Devil Fruits.

Since the abilities were stored separately as traits, there was no risk of his body exploding from conflicting powers.

Compared to Blackbeard, who had a unique body that allowed him to possess multiple Devil Fruits, Luen's system was far superior. His method had no drawbacks at all.

Theoretically, there was no limit to the number of Devil Fruit abilities he could acquire.

With that in mind—

The Sand-Sand Fruit, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, the Quake-Quake Fruit, the Human-Human Fruit: Mythical Zoan, Model Nika

He wanted them all!

But before that, he had to strengthen himself as much as possible.

After all, both Crocodile and Enel—the current users of the Sand-Sand Fruit and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit—had ultimately been defeated by Luffy's protagonist aura.

Luen preferred to take destiny into his own hands.

Besides, using Devil Fruit abilities required a strong body and stamina to sustain them.

So physical enhancement traits were exactly what Luen needed most right now.

And conveniently, aside from Luffy, there was another man in the Straw Hat Pirates with one of the strongest bodies in the world of pirates.

The Pirate Hunter—Roronoa Zoro.

As Luen docked the boat and set foot in Shells Town, a smirk played on his lips.

— — —

"Weird… Why do people here get scared when they hear the Marine captain's name?"

While searching for Zoro, the ever-social Luffy had casually asked the townspeople for directions.

Hearing Zoro's name made them nervous, but when they heard the name of the Marine captain, Morgan, their fear only intensified.

"Not all Marines are good people. Corrupt Marines can be even worse than some pirates."

Luen spoke calmly.

He knew the story behind this town. The Marine Captain here, Axe-Hand Morgan, was a tyrant who oppressed the townspeople.

To ordinary citizens, pirates were naturally terrifying. After all, most pirates weren't like Luffy—an adventurer chasing a dream.

But aside from the truly ruthless ones who engaged in pillaging and slaughter, most pirates only looted money and valuables.

The more horrors a pirate committed, the higher their bounty would be, attracting stronger Marine forces and bounty hunters.

So, many pirates avoided unnecessary violence.

However, someone like Morgan, who abused his power to oppress civilians, was an entirely different kind of monster.

The same kind as Captain Nezumi—the corrupt Marine officer who allowed Arlong's tyranny over Nami's hometown to continue.

A pirate attack could be endured, but when the ones meant to protect you were the true villains, that was true despair.

Coming from Earth, Luen despised scum like them the most.

As they continued walking, Luen and Luffy finally arrived at their destination.

The Marine base

There, tied to a wooden cross, was a man.

The Pirate Hunter, Roronoa Zoro.

"Luen, look! That's him, right?" Luffy grinned.

Luen simply nodded, his smirk widening.
