[D.C] Ch 3: Officially Joining a Familia

— — — — — —

A small, delicate hand suddenly stretched out toward the boy.

Klaus looked up.

A blue ribbon around her neck. Black twin-tails, bright blue eyes, and an unbelievably curvy figure.

A thin, sky-blue ribbon looped under her chest and tied around her arms.

Hestia blinked her eyes and smiled with a gentle warmth.

FINALLY—

He finally met her!

Maybe this was fate—like the heavens had arranged for them to meet right here.

He calmed his breathing.

A smile tugged at Klaus's lips as he reached out and gently took her soft hand.

"I… accept!"

Hearing his reply, Hestia lit up with joy.

"That's wonderful!"

"I finally have my own Familia!"

After her moment of excitement, Hestia beamed. "Kiddo, I'm Hestia~!"

"I'm Klaus," he answered. "It's my first time in Orario."

Her bright smile was infectious. Just being near her lifted his mood.

"Well then, Lady Goddess, I'm in your care from now on."

Clearly in a great mood, Hestia eagerly grabbed his hand. "Come on, Klaus! Let's go home!"

"I'll carve the Falna onto you!"

"Sounds good." Klaus's smile widened.

On the way back, Hestia was bursting with energy.

She cheerfully rambled on, giving Klaus the rundown on Orario— And the dangers of exploring the Dungeon beneath the Tower of Babel.

The unspoken message was clear: She wanted him to become a proper adventurer—not just lie around mooching off her.

Along the way, ever the thoughtful one, Hestia even bought two bags of fried potato balls as a makeshift welcome dinner.

A little plain, sure, but better than going hungry.

Klaus didn't mind at all.

Deep down, he made a silent vow— Once he got stronger, he'd feast on the best food the world had to offer!

After walking for about an hour, they arrived at a rundown, abandoned church.

The place was exactly as described in the original story.

Not a soul could be seen for blocks.

Crumbling buildings, tilted walls, and scattered rubble turned the whole area into a ghost town.

Only one barely-standing church looked remotely habitable.

"Ehem~"

Hestia let out an awkward cough.

"Now, don't be disappointed, Klaus."

"Our base is… in the church's basement."

Seeing he didn't look the least bit bothered, she puffed up her chest with confidence.

"Of course! This is just temporary!"

"We'll get rich soon—you'll see!"

Klaus nodded and chuckled.

"Lady Goddess, I'm not picky about where I live."

"And I believe things will get better from here on out."

Hearing that, Hestia gleefully threw herself into his arms.

And then began rubbing against him with unfiltered affection.

"Waaahh… Klaus~"

"Meeting you might just be the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me."

"I really, really like you!"

Klaus gently patted her head, a soft look of happiness on his face.

A few moments later, they stepped inside.

They passed through the main hall and entered a small, shabby wooden room in the basement.

The walls were gray and cracked, crisscrossed with deep crevices.

In the faint glow of the magic-stone lamp, you could even see parts of the old brick structure beneath the plaster.

The entire space was barely 30 square meters. There was only a small bed, a beat-up couch, and a little table.

It was humble, to say the least—but Klaus didn't mind.

Hestia led him to the clean white bed and spoke with gentle seriousness.

"Klaus."

"Lie down, and take off your shirt."

"I'll engrave the Falna on your back."

"Once the contract is complete, we'll be family from now on~!"

This wasn't something to take lightly.

A Falna—the divine blessing—was sacred.

Once given, it couldn't be revoked.

The Falna didn't just grant powers out of nowhere. It awakened the potential that already lived within a person—

Turning the ordinary… into something extraordinary.

And from there, the growth would never stop.

"I'm ready," Klaus said as he lay down and took off his shirt, exposing his back.

Hestia froze in surprise.

Toned muscles, clearly defined abs—eight of them.

It took everything in her not to reach out and touch them.

This body?

She was in love!

She'd expected him to be skinny—but underneath his clothes was a physique straight out of a fantasy.

"Lady Goddess, is it ready?" Klaus asked, anticipation shining in his eyes.

With the Falna, he could finally complete his first quest!

"Coming, coming!"

Hestia snapped out of her daze.

She pricked her finger with a needle and let a drop of divine blood fall onto his back.

A soft glow began to spread.

In just moments, a glowing sigil—like a sacred hearth flame—blazed across his back.

The flame formed the shape of a never-ending phoenix.

It was the Familia Crest, unique to Hestia's group—a fire with a bell.

At that very moment, a mechanical loli voice echoed in Klaus's mind:

[Notice: Congratulations! You've officially joined the Hestia Familia. Quest complete.]

[Reward: Character Panel. Ultimate Falna Panel. newbie starter pack.]

[Falna transfer detected. Awakening broken-tier magic and god-tier skills…]

[Ding~]

[Congratulations! You've unlocked 3 magic spells and 3 skills!]

And just like that—

Ancient divine text flowed across his back, shifting and morphing into new patterns.

Hestia's eyes widened with every change she saw.

"Wh-What the heck?!"

When the numbers finally stopped updating—She was completely stunned.

Her mouth hung open in a perfect O-shape.

"My Klaus… h-he actually has three magic?!"

"And three skills?!"

There's no way…!!!

Did she just hit the jackpot?

This kid's talent… was it really this absurd?

She was speechless.

For context: Finn, the Little Rookie of the Loki Familia, only got one magic and two skills when he first received his Falna.

Even Riveria, the elven princess, had three magic and two skills.

But Klaus?

He was on a whole other level.

Three rare magic. Three rare skills.

A once-in-a-generation monster.

"..."

After a long silence…

Klaus noticed that Hestia, still sitting on his lower back, hadn't moved at all.

"…Is it done?"

Hestia snapped out of it at the sound of his voice.

She quickly grabbed a sheet of parchment. Excitedly, she copied down all of Klaus's updated stats and abilities by hand.

"Hehehe~!"

She was grinning like a cat who'd found a mountain of catnip.

"From now on…"

"Klaussy is mine!!"
