[MashUp] Ch 33: The New Amagi Park

— — — — — —

Amagi Brilliant Park

This time, the place was nothing like the gloomy wasteland it had been yesterday.

Right now, the entire park was buzzing with a wild, almost manic energy.

Finally, it became worth the word "Brilliant."

...

Inside the "Real Employees" dorms—

"Th-thirty thousand views! It's blown past thirty thousand!"

Moffle was clutching his phone, shaking all over from excitement.

On the screen—

The video titled {Our Park Was Dying, So We Went All Out!} was playing on loop.

The scene of the apocalyptic waterspout and the park's rebirth had turned into a jaw-dropping spectacle that made viewers' scalps tingle.

"Look at this comment!"

Macaron pointed at a top-liked reply, nearly screaming in excitement.

["These effects look better than a Hollywood blockbuster! Do parks really go this hard for promo videos now? If this is real, I'm definitely going tomorrow!"]

"And this one, meow!" Tiramy shoved in too.

["No freaking way. THIS is that dump Amagi? I don't believe it—unless the official account lets me in to lick the floor tiles myself!"]

"Ahahaha! We actually pulled it off!"

The fairies, who hadn't slept all night, huddled together reading comments over and over, glowing with pride like never before.

But more than pride, what they felt most… was worship.

For that man. Takuma Kurosawa.

---

Maple Castle, sixth floor, princess's room.

Latifa's face was flushed, almost feverish.

She held her phone with both hands, eyes sparkling.

"Wow… this is incredible!"

She spun around, holding the screen up to Isuzu's face, her admiration practically shining like starlight.

"Isuzu, look!"

"Takuma-sama actually did it!"

Isuzu's gaze flicked from the video back to the princess's radiant expression.

Her own feelings were much more complicated.

"Yes, he really… went far beyond what anyone expected."

She had already rated his abilities very highly. But never in her wildest imagination did she think that in just one day, he'd drag a dying park out of the abyss.

Their one-month goal—

Suddenly didn't feel so far away.

"He didn't just exceed expectations!" Latifa almost bounced out of bed, overjoyed.

"This is unimaginable!"

"But I knew he could do it!"

She finally calmed down after shouting that last line, sitting back down with a softer, almost shy look.

At some point, her admiration for her "savior" had shifted into something more personal.

Her gaze darted away, and her voice became quiet. "Um… Isuzu…"

"Do you think… Takuma-sama will come today?"

The question made Isuzu sigh inwardly.

In just three days, the princess had already fallen completely for him.

---

Amagi Brilliant Park, front gate.

A taxi rolled to a stop.

Takuma stepped out lazily, leading a perfectly dressed maid—Tohru—by his side.

He looked up.

The rusted gates from yesterday were gleaming under the sun, as if brand new.

Even the crooked sign had been restored, blazing brilliantly with the words: Amagi Brilliant Park

Pedestrians stopped in their tracks, rubbing their eyes, not believing what they were seeing.

At the gate, Okuro, the Chief of Security, stood straight as a spear, his face hidden behind a red lucha mask.

The instant he spotted Takuma, he snapped to attention and gave a perfect salute.

"Savior!"

"Welcome… home!" His voice trembled with excitement.

A smirk tugged at Takuma's lips as he gave a small nod.

Beside him, Tohru's golden eyes glimmered with approval.

Yes, these fragile creatures knew how to show proper respect to her.

Next, Takuma led Tohru into what was now unmistakably his domain.

He walked slowly, taking in the sight.

Clear water rippled through the canals, the shooting gallery had brand-new targets, and the kitchen's buttery aroma drifted through the air.

The entire park was spotless, almost like a fairytale kingdom.

Even for someone as picky as him, there wasn't a speck of dirt to complain about.

The fairies had really done it. They had turned this place into a dream that shut the outside world out—overnight.

Even Tohru whispered in wonder, "It's so clean here, Takuma."

Takuma just smiled, pulling out his phone and dialing Isuzu. "Call everyone. Central plaza. Now."

Minutes later, Isuzu's voice boomed from the park speakers.

"Attention all staff! Takuma-sama has given the order!"

"Report to the central plaza immediately!"

The park exploded into motion!

Fairies poured out from every corner, racing at full speed toward the plaza.

By the time Takuma and Tohru reached the fountain, six hundred fairies had already lined up in perfect formation, staring at him with blazing eyes.

Then, a commotion broke out within the ranks.

Moffle shoved his way to the front, tripping over his own feet before throwing himself flat on the ground.

"Takuma-samaaa! I was wrong! I was a blind idiot, fumo!"

"Please… punish me however you want!"

The plaza fell silent.

All eyes turned to Takuma.

But Takuma didn't even spare Moffle a glance.

He just gave a soft laugh, his voice carrying across the square.

"Punish you?"

He shook his head. "Waste of time."

His eyes swept over the flushed faces below.

"I only care about results. Prove your worth with what you do next."

"That's worth more than any apology."

This man… he didn't even bother holding grudges over their stupidity!

Gratitude burst like fireworks in every fairy's chest.

"YES, SIR!!!" x600

Six hundred voices roared in unison, shaking the air.

That's when the rapid footsteps came.

Isuzu Sento.

She sprinted in, uniform slightly ruffled from the run, sweat glistening at her temples.

But the moment she saw the blonde maid at Takuma's side, her entire body tensed.

Her royal guard instincts screamed of danger.

This maid was deadly.

At the same time, Tohru's attention snapped toward her.

A female, glaring at her with hostility.

Her golden pupils narrowed into reptilian slits.

A crushing aura radiated from her like a predator's, freezing the plaza. The fairies' burning excitement was doused instantly, their very souls quivering.

Isuzu's body was at its limit.

But she was the princess's last guard—she couldn't back down. Magic welled at her fingertips, ready to form her weapon—

Takuma's hand landed on her shoulder.

"My dear secretary," He leaned close, lips brushing the shell of her ear.

"Trust me. You really don't want to find out what happens if you draw that."

He didn't wait for a reply, turning to the terrified fairies.

"This is Tohru, my personal maid."

"From today on, she'll be helping you all with your work."

Then he looked down at Tohru.

"Tohru. Show them."

"Yes, Takuma!" Tohru's golden eyes lit up—this was the clearest order she could get.

So, he wanted her to make an impression on her new "coworkers."

The next instant, her figure vanished.

BOOM!

She slammed into the center of the plaza like a meteor, the ground cracking and dust blasting skyward!

The shockwave knocked the fairies back several steps.

When the smoke cleared, the blonde maid stood there without a scratch, calmly brushing the dust off her skirt.

She glanced around at the pale, trembling faces, and smiled sweetly.

Clenching her gloved fists, her knuckles popped. "Nice to meet you, everyone."

"I'm Tohru, Takuma's dragon maid."

"He sent me to help you with your 'work.'"

"And where I come from, 'help' means eliminating all the weak links…"

Her sweet smile never faltered as she looked at them all.

"But wow, you all look so weak."

"So…"

Her tiny fists tightened again as she said in the most innocent tone imaginable—

"To make sure I don't cause trouble for Takuma, I guess I'll just have to…"

"… eliminate every last one of you."
