Progress & Setbacks
Added 2025-11-22 02:15:52 +0000 UTC8 out of the 10 animations for 0.2.0 are finished, which will then leave 4 static game over scenes to illustrate and implementing everything. I'm trying my best to get all of this done within the month of November as promised, but I might be a few days late with the update.
I underestimated how long these scenes would take due subconsciously assuming it'd be like when I animated Tailbound, in which every animated scene only took a day each to complete. Unlike Tailbound though, Skantish's animations have more complex drawing involved, shading, and individual backgrounds for each scene. Not to mention overall more ambitious animations compared to Tailbound's simple "Forward - Reverse" style animation.
On top of that, as many of you know, the Discord server fell victim to someone mass-reporting pretty much anyone who was active in it, resulting in my account getting deleted and a few other people getting suspended. Since then I've made a new server with some measures to help mitigate damage if the same thing happens again. The whole process has been time consuming though, especially re-uploading all of the artwork and timelapses to the Patreon section of the new server.
