Hello,
Just wanted to give another update, progress is still going really well and we're nearing the 300 render mark.
One of the big reasons for the change to a new game was learning to render properly. One of the scenes in the new game (slight spoiler) is that you are visiting a busy pub.
In this image I've got 9 different people in camera view and have made different textures for different images on the television. This whole render took 2 hours and I feel gives a much more immersive feel than just having you and another character.
It is also a completely unique environment, using props and textures I own or have made to create a fairly decent representation of a unique, modern British pub. This is the same with every single location in Defending Lydia Collier. If you play lots of these visual novel type games you may notice some of the props, but you'll never walk into "Location A" that is the exact same as somewhere else.
Hopeful this will give the game an increased feel of realism and just an insight into what I am up to.
