Platinum & Diamond - Temporary Pause

Hi all,

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to temporarily pause the Platinum and Diamond tiers. I want to share what this means for you and why I’ve made this choice. Here’s the quick rundown:

Your Status Stays Shiny: You’ll remain Platinum or Diamond in name and on the server, but your perks and pricing will temporarily align with the Gold tier ($15/month).

Credits on Hold: For now, Render and Comic/Animation Credits won’t accumulate, but any credits you’ve already earned can still be used or redeemed as usual.

Annual Subscribers: If you’re on an annual plan, I’ve reached out via DM to discuss arrangements tailored for you.

Now, let me explain the reasoning behind this decision with full transparency:

Managing Outstanding Credits: Over time, some patrons in these tiers have built up a significant amount of commission credits. While I’ve allowed credits to roll over indefinitely, this has created some challenges. Pausing these tiers will help me clear the backlog of credits in a sustainable way, with the goal of potentially relaunching these tiers once things are balanced.

Balancing Time for New Projects: As my work has evolved, the creative process for each piece takes more time due to the added steps I’ve incorporated to enhance quality. Currently, fulfilling Platinum and Diamond commissions takes up 10–15 days. This leaves limited time for exciting new projects (like exploring Blender, Ren’Py, and Godot) and personal growth. Pausing these tiers will free up space to focus on delivering fresh content and improving my skills for you all.

Financial Sustainability: To be fully transparent, the time-to-earnings balance for Platinum and Diamond tiers has been tricky to balance. These tiers have always offered incredible value compared to my standard commission rates. However, as my work has grown more detailed and time-intensive, it’s been tough to juggle external commissions (which help keep things sustainable) and clearing commission credits. This pause will help me find a better balance.
