Shutting Down Transmutation Tactics

Underperformance (11% engagement) at High Cost

The data is pointing at underperformance at a high maintenance cost. While this was a fun trial I wont spend more time on a project that seems to interest only a minority of my supporters.

So far only 11% of you have gone as far as authenticating, which sends a clear message: I should focus on the raw content until making video games become as easy to make as waving a hand with AI.

I will keep the source code and the current progress for later if a new wave of interest shows up, but like I said: fail fast, learn fast is my way to go.

To My Supporting Fans

First thank you to those that showed interest from the very start of this video game project. Although it was rough around the edges you saw great potential. You are awesome! I truly wish everyone was sharing your interest on this topic.

I'm guessing this may upset some of you. Understand I that I can't please everyone and that my main focus will always be to serve the majority of my supporters. So far working on this project is both costing us time that could be put into generating more content and it is saturating my focus as I normally need time to recover between sequences and the writing process of dialogues is taking a toll on me similar to sequence writing.

Dialogue writing should likely get automated or I should be able to pass this task to someone else and for now that is not possible.

What this means for the future of this Patreon:

This project was my last stand against the odds of having to find a remote job to solidify this business and give myself a chance at doing this fulltime. So far I'm meeting growth inflexion points every 10 Patrons or so: a slow growth curve.

The good part is that you guys have been loyal on average, making this worth to pursue if we make changes to this Patreon.

What will likely happen is that I'm gonna find a remote full time job, then I'm going to scale down this Patreon business. The cost of subscription and singles will get lowered, but I will likely remove the timelines and reduce the amount of content due on each month to match what I can produce.

Who knows, maybe this approach will increase Patrons retention more than this game ever could. I am unable to try this out while fully depending on Lily's income due to the risks of what a pay cut would do to me, but with another main stream of income we'll be able to safely try this out.

Poll

I am making a poll off this post to gather feedback on my decision. If it's as I think then I wont lose time, the game will be taken down by the end of this polling session. If it's not, then you guys will have to help me understand haha. Have a nice week!
