Griffiwolf of the sea + random doodles
Added 2022-01-18 18:36:02 +0000 UTCA quick sketch of the monster we made together! I'm not sure I'll finish this anytime soon so here's the sketch at least ^^

The elements that were suggested were... interesting to combine. In order to make a good looking creature, I ended up taking a lot of artistic liberties on the single parts. So, sorry if it's very different from what you were expecting :P still hope you like him. I sure do and might keep him as a character!
In addition to the resulting character design, there's two more doodles I made while waiting for all the comments to the Let's Make a Monster post.
First is a werewolf that I couldn't figure out how to add griffin elements to (very happy with it as it is, so I might finish it as a "normal" werewolf) and then something that more closely resembles the final design.

My first idea after reading your suggestion was to make the "griffin" part using a penguin as the bird, but I figured it would NEVER read as a griffin once I added the werewolf part. Which is also not very obvious, but I'm not sure how else I could've made it work. Probably working a few more days on it I would've had a different idea, but didn't want to spend more than a hour or two on it haha. Still glad the result is enjoyable :3
